HELL ISLAND
Kaum aus der Taufe gehoben und schon umbenannt: Die Mod Village, die laut David Scholze versucht, die Geschichte des Doom-Marines nach dem Ende des Original-Doom3 weiterzuspinnen (wir berichteten), nennt sich nun Hell Island. Wegen des geplanten Umfangs von 14 Levels und der unterschiedlichen Szenarien, die bereits vom Grunddesign her fertig sind, fand man den alten Namen der Mod nicht mehr passend genug. So wird der geneigte Spieler neben dem eigentlichen Dorf einem Friedhof, einer Kirche, einem Kanalisationsteil, einem Haus und letztendlich auch der Vorhölle einen Besuch abstatten, um der Story ihre letzten Geheimnisse zu entlocken.
Zur Zeit arbeitet man am Level "island_house_of_fear" und an den Bäumen für "island_swamp". Folgend ein paar Screenshots, die den derzeitgen Verlauf dokumentieren - die Jungs von Hell Island freuen sich über jedes Feedback

Trailer: Hell Island and W.A.R.
Today finally there are first induced pictures to W.A.R. (Quake4) and new pictures of brightly Iceland (Doom3). In a Trailer to both Mods SKrog shows us||STrogg a part of the industrial quarter, which is posed already to 30 per cent. DaveTheFreak places for his part for the first time moved scenes of the map Iceland Swamp, Iceland Beach and Iceland Dungeon to the schau. The Trailer is together calm to a work, since both Mod teams want to work immediately together. By the mutual assistance one expects still better results.
In addition the W.A.R. Website was revised, so that it the project better in the eye have: Apart from progressing and Media section, can their also your feedback deliver there, about what both teams would be pleased much. The moreover one both Mod teams look for reinforcement. For W.A.R. Modeler, Animator, people, which can merge NPCs and other objects into the play, are looked for Texturenspezis and Scripter. Brightly Iceland needs still Concept Artists, Coder, and two speakers. But we return for the main topic of the News - the Trailer and the pictures:

Demnächst werde ich eventuell auch ein paar Screens und ein kleines Ingame-Video dieses Levels releasen. Und um was es in diesem Level geht, brauche ich glaub ich nicht zu verraten.

Hell Island: Media update and Demo
Scarcely four months after the last Newshaeppchen Aknowledge the Macher to that brightly Hell Istalnd Mod and present themselves an abundance at new material, which only waits for it, to be devoured.
Apart from all kinds of new content - to it later more - there is joyful information to report: According to DaveTheFreak are already approx. 70 per cent of the work final and the team approaches slowly to the hot phase. If nothing engraving should interfere, the prognosticated release date in the summer, July might be kept until August. Up to then should be managed also the English acoustic output marine.

Brightly Iceland becomes one year
Brightly Iceland lets the corks slam and celebrates today anniversary: Because exactly one year ago the birth of the Doom3-Mod was bright Iceland von David
"DaveTheFreak" Scholze.
Apart from this solemn information there is to naturally also report a few strong details to development progress. The Mod does not become - as already accepted - from 18, but of 19 level to consist, since the section "island_hell", which will be playable by console instruction in the final version nevertheless, the high requirements of the author did not become fair and therefore by the newly conceived level "island_beforehell" was replaced.
After at the beginning of appeared already to April a demo, now the work is altogether final to scarcely 80 per cent and the creator rings so slowly however reliably the hot phase of the development. So far the sounds, two level and the usual diagram Tweaking are only missing. A task, which it wants to manage still before release of Prey and which is to appear as well known in July!!!
However the fans of the German language must wait still scarcely two to three days longer for brightly Iceland, since DaveTheFreak will releasen for the time being a purely English version and the English ton German Patch a few days to appear later is.

Hell Island: Nearly finished and beta testers searched!
If David “DaveTheFreak” Scholzes Doom3-Mod celebrated brightly Hell Island still recently their one year's, now the end of the development came within easy reach!
Because like David now, is the modification announced own statements completed after to “93%” - everything that is still missing, were the dialogues, the sound of background and still two additional, freiwillige beta testers, which put a certain obligation consciousness however for reasons of the quality assurance with their work to the day, from fun to the Freud' to apply and the following tasks within three days not to only complete should:
- Play to the end the Mod in all four degrees of difficulty.
- Hold the time for each degree of difficulty.
- Attempt to find with a run ALL Secrets which will be hidden now in each level.
- Write an objective test report.
Sounds after much? Now, DaveTheFreak means it stop seriously with its Mod, so that she will prepare as much as possible as much as possible play passport. But one has also the honorable privilege, before all different brightly Hell Island in one as well as manufactures version to play to be able!

There are large pieces of news!
There was 80% last, now is it 93%(!). All levels are actually finished, it are only missing the dialogues and the sound of background. I sent the first beta versions only yesterday to my testers. And if this no lack of the levels find out, then really only the sound is the only problem, thus stands to release before Prey presumably nothing in the way. In the screen SHOT gallery you find 3 new screens and this the last, new screens will be. Also altogether this is the latter to the last but one news before release.
New is now also (in the Mod) that in each level a small Secret is hidden, thus ammunition and or Health etc.. It is worthwhile itself thus, each angle departure-races! ; -)
But everything functioned I concomitantly really need still 2 beta testers, which are to briefly test the Mod before release. Thus they would have then already finished brightly Iceland a version. Tests is not however only joy and playing actually, because they must make the following within 3 days:
- the Mod in all 4 degrees of difficulty play to the end
- the time for each degree of difficulty record
- with a run they must try ALL Secrets to find
- an objective test report write
The first 2 with me announces themselves, gets the post. Thus who comes first, paints first.
Oh and: the hot phase is now officially open!!!
