Spiegazione dei dettagli grafici
Spoiler:● Texture downscaling (Fattore di ridimensionamento)
Questa voce influenza la qualità delle texture. Valori più bassi, daranno quindi una qualità delle texture più alta.
Per quella massima, selezionate "No Downscaling" (Nessun ridimensionamento).
● Texture memory size (Budget Memoria texture)
Con questo parametro andrete ad indicare al gioco il quantitativo di memoria da utilizzare per le texture.
Regolatevi quindi in base alla vram della vostra scheda video, e cercate di non eccedere: andare troppo oltre potrebbe causare forti rallentamenti, se non addirittura crash.
● Shadow quality (Qualità delle ombre)
Come il nome lascia intendere, modificando questa voce andrete ad agire sulle ombre.
Questo settaggio non tocca la CPU, ma solo la vostra scheda grafica.
● Number of shadowed lights (Qualità delle luci che proiettino)
Vi permette di settare il numero massimo di fonti di luce che andranno a proiettare un'ombra.
Questo settaggio non tocca la CPU, ma solo la vostra scheda grafica.
● LOD distance (Distanza ridimensionamento)
Modificate questa voce per cambiare il livello di dettaglio dei tessuti.
A livelli più bassi corrisponderanno ovvie performance superiori, ma la qualità ne risentirà.
● Bloom (Bloom)
Questo parametro influisce fortemente sulla resa grafica, ma non necessariamente in positivo. Il Bloom tende infatti a rendere le immagini più luminose, forse anche troppo. Molti utenti infatti hanno preferito levarlo per ottenere una colorazione più naturale.
Disattivatelo se la resa grafica è troppo luminosa per i vostri gusti - il consiglio è generalmente questo.
● Light shafts (Fasci di luce)
Questo parametro agisce sulla luce, ma è pensato per sistemi relativamente recenti.
Disabilitatelo se avete un PC piuttosto vecchio, o se avete bisogno di guadagnare frames.
● Anti-aliasing (Antialiasing)
Come tutti sanno, l'anti-aliasing ha lo scopo di ridurre l'effetto scalettatura delle texture nei videogiochi.
È un settaggio questo molto pesante, quindi evitate di attivarlo se non avete un PC all'ultimo grido.
● Blur effects (Sfocatura)
Il blur è una sfocatura che il gioco applica in determinati frangenti, in questo caso legato a particolari effetti.
Questo settaggio potrà infastidire alcuni giocatori, ed è anche abbastanza esoso in termini di risorse - ma questo tipo di blur è utilizzato raramente dal gioco.
● Depth of field – Gameplay (Profondità di campo)
Questo setting va a modificare la profondità di campo, ma solo durante il gameplay.
Pare abbastanza pesante, quindi disattivarlo è una buona alternativa, visto anche l'impatto non stravolgente sulla grafica.
● Vignette (Vignettatura)
Questa opzione è di pura estetica, producendo una sorta di cornice fotografica attorno allo schermo.
Non ha alcun genere di impatto sulle prestazioni.
● Rain, Wet surfaces rain effect (Pioggia)
Settaggio questo che riguarda la pioggia e gli effetti relativi.
L'impatto sulle prestazioni è solo modesto.
● SSAO, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (Occlusione Ambientale
L'ffetto in questione vuole garantire maggiore realismo all'immagine, dato che considera l'attenuazione luminosa nei pressi di ambienti chiusi.
Questo setting va purtroppo ad incidere fortemente sulle performance, e aiuterà disabilitarlo se non avete una macchina molto potente.
● Motion blur (Sfocatura da movimento)
Questa voce riguarda anch'essa il blur, ma è legata al movimento, quindi quando camminate o ruotate l'inquadratura.
È piuttosto pesante per la scheda grafica.
● Cinematic depth of field (Diffusione Profondità di Campo)
Questa opzioni influisce sulla Profondità di campo simil-film durante le cinematiche e i dialoghi.
Grava fortemente sulle prestazioni, ed è consigliabile attivarla solo su macchine potenti.
● Depth of field – cutscenes (Profondità di campo sequenze)
Anche questa voce riguarda la Profondità di Campo, ma solo riguardo cutscene e dialoghi.
Non impatta sulle performance di gioco.
● Dangling objects limit (Limite ossature dinamiche)
Traduzione italiana totalmente errata a parte, tramite questa voce potete limitare le animazioni (nello specifico, il penzolamento/svolazzamento) di determinati oggetti, come ad esempio i capelli di Geralt.
Disattivare questa opzione (quindi rimuovere il limite), porta un carico più alto sulla CPU.
● Ubersampling (Uber sampling)
Questo (pesantissimo) rendering mode renderizza la scena svariate volte, per fornire le migliori texture, dettagli e anti-aliasing e filtro anisotropico (superiore anche a questi ultimi nei loro settaggi più alti).
L'Ubersampling è però un vero e proprio fps-killer, che metterà in crisi anche i più potenti sistemi multi gpu. Disabilitatelo assolutamente.
● Vertical sync (Sincronia Verticale)
Questo setting permette di ridurre o eliminare il fastidioso effetto tearing, per il quale in determinati frangenti l'immagine appare come "spezzata".
Può causare rallentamenti, anche nella risposta dei comandi.
● Decals (Decalcomanie)
Abilitando questa voce vi saranno effetti aggiuntivi come sangue o polvere sui personaggi.
Va ad influenzare le prestazioni della CPU.
