Drivers chipset e problema cpu

Salva raga,
ho bisogno di qualke kiarimento. Ho comprato da qualke mese il mio pc, ma nn mi sento appieno soddisfatto visto ke quasi tutti i gioki( addirittura pure vietcong2 )1 po' mi scattukkiano a risoluzione 1024. Ho un Pentium Intel 4 a 3.4GHZ, 2GB di ram, Ati Radeon X1900XT( con Catalyst 6.8 ), HD SATA II da 150GB( metà pieno ormai ), Windows XP con SP 2, skeda sonora integrata Realtek, skeda madre Foxconn 945P7AA-8EKRS2, case cooler system. Premettendo ke quelli da cui ho comprato il pc nn sono proprio dei Pro(l'ultima volta ke mi hanno formattato il pc nn mi hanno nemmeno installato i drivers aggiornati della skeda madre)ho incominciato ad avere dei dubbi ke possano aver sbagliato ad installare qualcosa. I drivers ke hanno installato me li hanno messi in una cartella in C, cosi posso vedere di preciso quello ke mi hanno installato. In pratica i drivers sul sito della skeda madre me li hanno installati(nn ho riprovato ad installarli ma mi fido), mentre quello per il chipset sembra li abbiano scaricati dal sito della intel. I drivers sono vekki dall'inizio del 2005 ma guardando le release notes dei drivers + recenti sembrano fixare solo alcuni bugs di installazione o supportare nuovi chipsets e quindi nn capisco se possano giovare o fare casini immani(nn c'ho voglia di mandare in crash il pc

).
In ogni caso, controllando sulle gestione periferike, mi ritrovo sulla voce "processori" 2 identike voci(ovvero pentium 4(R) 3.4ghz ecc) e sul file dxdiag. ke ora vi incollo, mi segna 2 cpu's, quando io penso proprio di averne una( quando faccio proprietà su risorse del computer nn mi scrive ke ne ho 2 )! Ke devo fare? Aggiungo ke con 3dmark05, ho fatto 8880 punti ke nn mi paiono tantissimi ma forse 1 po' sotto la media guardando il mio pc...

Sul Control Center dell'ati è tutto in default "let the application decide" quindi dovrebbe essere apposto. Mentre x il mipmap detail level è impostato di default su High quality. 3d mark 2006 nn ce l'ho...qualke altro consiglio? Anke sul fatto delle 2 cpu? Un mio amico mi diceva ke poteva essere a causa dell'hyperthreading e ke quindi rileva 2 processori

Avete qualke idea di ke può essere? Molti gioki mi scattano 1 po', ma dipende dai gioki. La mia scusa fino ad adesso è ke sono buggati(oblivion,titan quest, spellforce2),xò vedermi scattare pure vietcong2...so ke il suo motore nn è il max, ma ormai è vekkiotto. Addirittura mi scatta devil may cry 3 special edition(ok, è una cattiva conversione)ma x esempio prey mi va praticamente ultrafluido(ma mi pare di aver capito ke va bene su tutti i pc). Quindi a sto punto nn so proprio ke pensare...cmq ditemi se ho postato nel posto sbagliato ke al max vado su un'altra sezione

Seriamente puoi provare a cambiare driver video e a reinstallare la mb. Poi puoi provare a ottimizzare il tutto, magari è quello. Mentre giochi disattivi antivirus e firewall?
Da quanto non deframmenti l'hd?

Il firewall lo spengo prima di giocare(uso zone alarm) e virus nn ne ho(ho AVG). Deframmento una volta ogni 2 settimane. Si, purtroppo sti gioki di ultima generazione escono tutti buggati...e ciò mi rattrista. Pure heroes V...sono consapevole ke son buggati xò avere il pc nuovo e vedermi scattare tutto come prima(sicuramente meno)nn mi rende assai felice :/ Ho provato a disinstallare i drivers ati e pulire i registri con drivercleaner in modalità provvisoria e reinstallarli...magari ho guadagnato qualke FPS, ma cmq gli scatti rimangono. Le sto provando tutte, veramente. Reinstallarmi i drivers della skeda madre nn mi rassicura molto...sembra vadano installati prima di tutto. Anke i drivers della skeda sonora integrata realtek sono aggiornati(vengono aggiornati spesso sul sito)e li installo regolarmente...nn riesco proprio a capire cosa può essere. Eppure la skeda video sul CCC sembra essere tutto apposto quindi nn penso sia quella ed ho pure reinstallato i drivers

secondo me sono i giochi. Ma scattano in continuazione? oppure solo ogni tot?

Prova a scaricare qualche demo di un gioco recente che non derivi da una conversione. Se ti va liscio anche quello secondo me è colpa dei giochi e non del tuo sistema.

Scattano ogni tot, tipo x esempio Fear, quando magari giro un angolo, vietcong2 quando uccido qualcuno sembra ke faccia fatica a calcolare l'effetto ragdoll, Devil may cry scatta quasi sempre, Oblivion appena lo faccio partire scatta un bel po', ma poi si stabilizza. Sembrerebbe un problema di Ram, ma ho 2gb e sono pure in dual channel(nn sono difettose xkè ho fatto il quick test con memtest). Nn so, probabilmente sono i gioki o magari essendo la mia skeda appena uscita, i drivers nn sono ancora ottimizzati x sfruttarla bene

Be' ho scaricato SuperRam, e mi segna 460mb di ram occupata e 1588mb di ram libera...questo prima di giocare. Ho provato in 5 min a far partire oblivion x vedere cosa succedeva e mi lascia 1000mb di ram libera...dopo è scesa a 900mb. Tornando a windows è ritornata a 460 occupata e 1560 di libera. Provando Devil May Cry xò mi è parso di notare miglioramenti...come processi nn ho kissà cosa(ho il CCC di ati, l'utility realtek della skeda sonora integrata, l'utility x il mouse+tastiera, questo sulla barra, sul task manager ce ne sono alcuni della skeda madre). Una cosa ke mi dà 1 po' di problemi è l'alimentatore, è da 400w, mi è appena saltato quello vekkio ed in garanzia me ne hanno messo uno uguale...dopo neanke un giorno ke ce l'avevo su ha incominciato a fare rumorini fastidiosi penso x colpa della ventola ke magari nn è perfetta( a volte solo spostando una pagina internet in giù o in su amplifico il rumorino a piacimento lol ), ma nn penso possa creare rallentamenti in un gioco(anke xkè Prey sembra andare ultrafluido). Incomincio a perdere le speranze

400watt non è che siano poi molti per la tua configurazione...
Di che marca è?
Comunque a mio parere 460mb di ram occupati sono decisamente troppi, probabilmente hai un processo pesante in background che succhia ram e risorse. Dai un'occhiata nel task manager quali sono i processi che occupano di più.

Piuttosto, può essere il file di paging? Facendo alcune ricerke, sul sito della microsoft ti dicono di impostarlo al doppo della tua ram effettiva(se sei sopra 1.3GB di ram), mentre guardando in giro dicono tutti di metterlo basso sennò ti si rallentano i programmi. Guardando nella mia memoria virtuale(il pannello su sistema/avanzate/prestazioni/impostazion i/avanzate/memoria virtuale)mi segna 2046MB di paging iniziale e 4096MB di massime. Guardando nella parte sotto mi segna;
Minime: 2 MB
Consigliata: 3096 MB
Attualmente 2046 MB

Spulciando su qualke sito consigliano di mettere quella iniziale e quella massima uguali, e come valore magari 512MB. Voi ke dite?

Spulciando su qualke sito consigliano di mettere quella iniziale e quella massima uguali, e come valore magari 512MB. Voi ke dite?

L'alimentatore non è per nulla buono

Con 2gb di ram lo swap lo puoi pure disattivare

Già, nn ho letto pareri positivi sul mio alimentatore in giro x la rete. Ma cmq nn penso possa influenzare le prestazioni, al max ti si spegne di botto il pc(a me è capitato qualke volta ma molto raramente),nn credi? Alimentatori + potenti costeranno + di 100 euro mi sa...e se nn mi cambia molto nn so quanto mi convenga

Dici ke possa esistere una condizione della quale l'alimentatore nn faccia funzionare appieno al pc abbassandone le potenzialità? Oppure, o funziona al 100% o nn funziona...

Di solito un alimentatore sottodimensionato crea freeze del pc o riavvi.
Una cosa non ti ho chiesto, come sono le temperature del pc?

La temp della skeda video normalmente è di 50-55 C°, quando gioco arrivo sui 76-79 C° nn di +. Dovrebbe essere normale x la mi skeda.
Cmq son riuscito a combinare qualcosa, in pratica sono andato su msconfig ed ho disabilitato tutti i servizi e programmi di avvio( spuntando il quadratino "Nascondi programmi Microsoft" ). Be' ke dire, il pc si avvia in un baleno( nn deve caricare nulla praticamente ^^ )e sembra ke le prestazioni siano migliorate di parekkio. Forse c'era qualke programmino ke creava problemi nn lo so. Ho usato come test devil may cry 3, in un punto dove mi scattava da matti. Facendo partire il pc senza nulla, mi va praticamente fluido, ma se faccio partire il Control Center dell'ati mi PARE ke scatti di +(forse xkè magari devil è opengl ed io ho spuntato l'attivazione del triplo buffering x giocare a prey col vsync, ma nn sono sicuro). Il Control Center mi pare utile x il catalyst A.I. e x vedere le temperature, tu dicevi di provare il control panel? Hai informazioni dettagliate? Casomai vado a kiedere nella sezione Skede video

Semplicemente ti togli di torno il ccc, liberi un po' di memoria e hai più o meno le stesse opzioni.
