Il MOD CLASSIC DooM III è giocabile interamente alla versione 1.0 in COOP, la modalità COOP è fornita dal mod LAST MAN STANDING

We have spent a lot of extra time making sure this release was as solid and bug free as possible. Here are some of the main features included:
* Integration of the Classic Doom Mod using the Cdoom Coop Gametype
* A help tab has been added in the main menu
* Stamina re-implemented in SP COOP and ROE COOP gametypes.
* All of the ROE maps are now tweaked for Coop
* The Plasmathrower stream has been updated
* Two new difficulty levels have been added, si_skill 4 and si_skill 5

* New boat model
* Persistent data is fixed so now players retain their weapons when they change levels.

GameDev.net: Tell me about "Last Man Standing", what is it all about?
MercyKiller: Well, the original idea was to bring back the feel of the classic Dooms to the game, with swarms of monsters assaulting the player. Co-op is an integral feature to this concept, as we originally intended to limit the players to only one life, leaving the Last Man Standing the winner. Obviously, the concept has shifted a bit to encompass more general gameplay, though the emphasis is still on cooperative gameplay against insurmountable odds.
Calimer: To me Last Man Standing is all about having fun gameplay, and to bring to Doom 3 some elements that I felt were missing. Originally this included levels that featured survival type gameplay against swarms of assaulting monsters. We had levels where you would progress, defend, or were stuck in a small room trying to take down as many monsters as you could and outlast the other marines. Cooperative support was essential to this gametype and due to popular demand we added coop support to other areas of Doom 3, such as the single player levels, the expansion pack, and the Classic Doom for Doom 3 project.

GameDev.net: How does LMS differ to regular Doom 3 multiplayer?
MercyKiller: Well, regular Doom 3 multiplayer was a rather limited form of deathmatch with some minor variations such as tournament play. LMS is 100% about cooperative gameplay. The biggest feature Doom3 lacked multiplayer-wise was coop and LMS fills this void. Naturally all the original Doom3 and RoE levels are supported in our coop game mode, in addition to LMS Mod and now CDoom Coop.
Calimer: It really is completely different from deathmatch since players work together rather than try to kill each other. Key differences are cooperative support, monsters (6+ which are new!), new weapons, new music, new sounds, tons of new maps and maptypes, infrared vision, new server admin options, a LMS specific scoreboard, and lots more!
Also, today I will be leaving for San Jose for the IGF Doom 3 Mod competition at the GDC! I will be meeting up with AO, Iten and Mercykiller. IGF 2007 - Anyone to Succeed Last Man Standing Co-op?
Yesterday, the organizers of the Independent Games Festival have officially released the rules and submission guidelines for the upcoming ninth edition. The previous one was a great success; to keep up this trend, several changes were introduced to the competition, notably in the Modding Competition which now shall allow more entrants to step in.
- the IGF Mod Competition, a big hit in its first year, is going even more freeform this year, and allowing mods from any game to compete - from Thief to Half-Life 2 to Oblivion to The Sims and beyond, all mods are eligible as long as they have been created or updated in the last twelve months. From the entrants, we will pick Best Singleplayer FPS Mod, Best Multiplayer FPS Mod, Best RPG Mod, and Best 'Other' Mod finalists (each a $500 prize), and those winners will show at the 2007 GDC, competing for an overall $5,000 Best Mod prize. Deadline for entrants is October 13, 2006 at 11:59pm PDT.

Flaming Sheep Software has finally released their final version of the modification "Classic Doom 3". Version 1.1 contains a huge list of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks that are too numerous to mention.
The installer is for Windows only, a version for other operating systems will follow shortly. For more information on this release, please check the modifications website at http://cdoom.d3files.com/
Classic Doom 3 for Windows (1.1 Final)
Description:
This is the 1.1 version of Classic Doom 3 for Doom 3. This version contains the full episode of "Knee Deep In The Dead" in both single player and multiplayer styles. This is the final release from the Classic Doom 3 team, but proves to be a great one with a HUGE list of bug fixes and changes (found below in the readme).
Installation:
**Windows 2000/XP**
Double click on the installation file (classic_doom_3_1.1.exe) and follow the on-screen prompts.
Ensure that you direct the installer to your own Doom 3 directory when prompted.
**All other versions**
Using an un-extration utility, open the cdoom_v1.1.zip file and unpackage the CDoom folder into
your Doom 3 directory on your hard-drive e.g. C:\Games\Doom 3.
**General Notes**
Either use the CDoom.exe to run the MOD or go into Doom 3 as normal and select 'MODS' from the
main menu. Select 'Classic Doom 3' and the click on 'Load MOD' to load CDoom into Doom 3.
To remove Classic Doom 3 simply delete the CDoom folder from your Doom 3 directory.
Please make sure no other MODS are loaded along side CDoom unless stated by the MOD that it
works with CDoom.
To add a shortcut for CDoom to your desktop simply right click on the CDoom.exe file in the
CDoom folder and then click on 'Create Shortcut'. Drag the shortcut to your desktop and
rename. To get the Classic Doom 3 icon to appear for the shortcut, right click on the shortcut
and then click properties. Then select the 'Shortcut' tab and then click on the 'Change Icon'
button. Point the shortcut to the .icon file in the Doom 3/cdoom folder and then click on 'OK'
and then 'Apply'.

Lo sto scaricando e sono al 45% e la confezione di Doom 3 nella quale sta accumulando polvere verra ripresa e aperta per una nuova installazione!!

Reinstallato Doom 3 e installato il MOD "Classic Doom 1.1 Final"
Per ora faccio un pò fatica a ricordarmi la somiglianza con il primo episodio di Doom, ma per ora il posto dove si prende la prima armatura e le pozioni blu e le testine sono uguali.. e poi i Bidoni...!!
Forse l'introduzione della musica fa perdere parte dell'atmosfera che permeava l'Originale (che ho giocato e finito con la mitica PSX, a quei tempi non avevo un PC...). Sarebbe stato meglio concentrarsi sugli effetti e meno sulle musiche a mio parere.
Però ragazzi e un lavorone!! Veramente ben fatto e lo sviscerò sino in fondo

Un aggiornamento per questo Remake?? :shock: La nuova versione è per la compatibilià con la patch 1.3.1? Perchè se fosse così non potrei scaricarla ancora , dato che ho D3 ancora alla 1.3

Vorreste un nuovo aspetto (o meglio, un vecchio aspetto) per i nemici di Doom3? L'add-on "Skin Pack" per Classic DOOM v3.0 è un simpatico pacchetto di texture che modifica il colore dei mostri di Doom3 così che assomiglino più fedelmente a quelli incontrati in Doom e Doom2. E' bello sapere che Santiago Rocha sta continuando a lavorare a questo add-on.
Cosa è stato cambiato con questo nuovo pacchetto? Questo è un esempio:

Il download darà a Doom3 un aspetto più classico; comunque, per apprezzare pienamente l'add-on, dovreste anche scaricare Ambient Light by GunRunner (Ingo), poichè l'ambientazione di Doom3 è piuttosto scura, e Classic Sounds Soundpack (1.0) by Revenant100" per un aspetto più nostalgico. Santiago Rocha ha inoltre affermato che potrebbe esserci un possibile remake di questa "total conversion" in futuro, per una rappresentazione ancora più accurata dei mostri originali.
Questo è un eccellente pacchetto da scaricare, se desiderate ardentemente gli zombie del vecchio Doom, ma con il gameplay di Doom3! Decisamente vale il costo di un download gratuito!
