Visto che in teoria dovrebbe mancare poco al rilascio (l'annuncio parlava del Q4 2013 e siamo a novembre...) direi che è il momento di crearci un topic dedicato.
Fa sempre parte della famiglia Men of War ma ormai è un titolo che si è evoluto con differenze sostanziali dall'originale ma lascio ai mod decidere se mergiare i due topic o meno

Riassumo quanto si sa finora:

1C Company, is excited to announce the development of Men of War: Assault Squad 2. This is the next chapter in the award-winning Men of War series and a continuation of the Men of War: Assault Squad experience.

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 features new single player style skirmish modes that take players from extreme tank combat to deadly sniper stealth missions. Commanders can now faceoff against opponents on various new multiplayer 1v1 – 4v4 maps. To truly bring the battles to life though there is the new 8v8 game mode designed for huge battles on spectacular maps.

This new Assault Squad game brings significant game engine and visual improvements as well, with special attention paid to ones that were highly requested by the players. These included items such as advanced multi-core support, advanced shader technology, interface and AI improvements, as well as added camouflage depending on season/map, fully updated inventory items with new graphics and updated vehicles, sound improvements, Steam multiplayer and much more.

Five factions and various battlefields in Europe, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa and the Pacific

The original Men of War: Assault Squad took place across the globe during the height of World
War II and featured five different armies each with their own unique units, vehicles and abilities. The game also included the unique “direct control” feature which enables players to maneuver units using the directional keys, rather than pointing and clicking. PC Generals can get behind the controls of a tank to smash through obstacles, crush soldiers under its tracks and fire armor-piercing shells at enemy emplacements, or take control of individual soldiers as they fight. MoW:AS 2 features in-game voice chat and auto-detection of steam friends, as well as invite functionality. You can see everyones avatar in-game and mute players if necessary. Everyone of you has an own set of statistics and you can level up your in-game profile for any of the 5 playable factions. But also individual soldier kill statistics are available. The best part is: you do not need to register up to play online, your steam account is automatically detected.
The new interface will also tell you if units are behind cover, out of ammo, under attack, injured, or do carry an at-weapon.
On top of it, the popular Assault Zones gamemode has been improved as well. The new interface will tell you how many flags each team has and highlights the team currently in lead.

On a side note, the game will be pushed back a few months. When we were meeting up with 1C a short while ago, we mutually agreed to add more content and additional features into this game. This is great news for you, because you will get a much better game.

Premesse ottime + data di uscita ravvicinata + scarsità di materiale "vero" Questi addendi mi ricordono un po' troppo una "recentissma situazione" vista in ambito Total War... però ho maggiore fiducia nei compagni russi

Mi pare ci sia anche il sito ma non ci passo da tempo.
E cmq fondamentalmente è un upgrade.
Aggiungi che cmq è un gioco russo hardcore e quindi ben poco pubblicizzato.

Alla fine non ho resistito e dopo avere letto come saranno implementate le statistiche l'ho comprato. L'ho pagato 20€ (versione liscia) usando qualche spicciolo di steam guadagnato con le carte.
Non avrò mai tempo di giocarlo...

Mi ha fatto sorridere vedere che il primo post sul primo Men Of War qui sul forum lo iniziai io un sacco di tempo fa. Il primo Men of War me lo segnalò un amico serbo: eravamo entrambi delusi dal terzo capitolo di Sudden Strike e apparve dal nulla questo men of war...

Ragaz quando esce questo secondo capitolo proviamo a sentirci per giocare un po' online insieme.
