    Dungeon of the Endless is a Rogue-Like Dungeon-Defense game, in which the player and their team of heroes must protect the generator of their crashed ship while exploring an ever-expanding dungeon, all while facing waves of monsters and special events as they try to find their way out... so what could go wrong... open the door!

    BACKGROUND STORY
    A few hundred condemned criminals were being shipped to the Auriga system on board the prison hulk “Success”. While this was presented as a chance to earn back their place in society by working hard for the common good, they understood that in fact they would be slave labour, sent to colonize an unexplored planet. All they knew about Auriga Prime was what the probes told them: it had water, temperate zones, plant life, and plenty of metals in the crust.

    In fact, the planet Auriga once hosted a major settlement of the galaxy-travelling ancestors known as the Endless. In addition, the planet was still orbited by a functioning (and well cloaked) defensive system, which sprang eagerly to life upon the arrival of the Success. Within a few minutes, the ship was nothing but a few large chunks of metal falling toward the planet.

    Every set of holding cells also functioned as an escape pod, so the ship let itself disintegrate and the surviving prisoners fell bruised but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe to the planet below. Safe, that is, until they realized that they had crashed through some sort of facility of the Endless, down to a sub-basement so deep and ancient it might as well be called a dungeon…

    Premessa: odio i rouge like. Non mi piace l'idea di morire/perdere e men che meno di riniziare da capo senza alcun bonus/boost o come se nulla fosse.
    Premesso ciò, questo è il primo rogue like che compro. Perchè? Boh forse per il design, forse perchè è un gioco con un bel mix di casualità/strategia/gdr.

    Ho fatto una sola partita veloce che ho "finito" per culo. Per ora (essendo un work in progress) si inizia con un team di due personaggi casuali ogni volta. Lo scopo è portare il cristallo all'uscita. Solo che l'uscita bisogna trovarla. Ogni volta che si apre una porta di vengono dati delle risorse che servono per potenziare/curare i nostri personaggi o per costruire. Ogni tot risorse avremo la possibilità di alimentare una stanza collegata al cristallo. Ogni stanza alimentata ha la possibilità di edificare un generatore di risorse e delle torrette difensive. All'apertura di ogni stanza ci possiamo trovare eventi casuali, da nemici, a risorse, ad equipaggiamento, a nuovi eroi e boh chissà..Ogni tanto compaiono ondate nemiche che puntano a distruggere il cristallo e ad ucciderci. Queste ondate partano dalle stanze non alimentate. Quindi è buona cosa fare un perimetro difensivo..Altro problema è che quando si trova l'uscita, bisogna dedicare un personaggio al trasporto del cristallo..oltre al fatto che le stanze perderanno gradualmente energia e con esse quindi anche le possibili torrette che abbiamo costruito..Una volta passati al livello successivo si mantengono i personaggi e parte delle risorse risparmiate..quindi occhio.

    Come ultima cosa segnalo che la versione del gioco da "fondatori", oltre ad avere un bel pò di cose in game, ci regala uno sconto del 50% su Endless space e la sua espansione. Anche questi giochi meritevoli.

    Per ora mi pare un bel gioco e confido su una sua ottima realizzazione..Se magari mi venissero in contro con un qualche bonus ogni nuova partita mi farebbero ancora più piacere

    Provato, mi sembra davvero moolto interessante.
    Le meccaniche roguelike (che consistono principalmente nell'esplorazione e negli oggetti da trovare per i nostri eroi) si sposano bene a quelle dei tower defence.

    Il problema è che quando si deve portare il cristallo va tutto a meretrici e diventa un brutto caos

    Mi manderà in palla come è successo lo scorso natale con il bellissimo risk of rain...già lo so...

    La fottuta droga. sono 5 ore che ci sto giocando e sono arrivato massimo al 4 livello prima che crashasse nell'ascensore con il cristallo
    ovviamente progressi persi e eroi non sbloccati

    hanno rilasciato un dlc gratuito che aggiunge 4 eroi e oggetti vari presi da team fortres 2
    in più hanno messo il dlc che introduce la nave frezeer e l'eroe lucertola che prima erano solo appannaggio dei founder
