Some questions about Petroglyph

Sorry for creating a non official post, but I'd like to put new questions if possible...

First of all, I'd like to know what you did in the past, before working for LucasArts and Empire at War. I apologize for not knowing so much about you...

then, how does it feel to develop a Star Wars game? I've grown up loving it, and I'd be amazed to be working on a project like this... I mean, you are "building" a new piece of the incredibly awesome SW universe! What do you feel about that?

Volevo sapere innanzitutto che cosa avevate fatto prima di lavorare per LucasArts a Empire at War (chiedo scusa ma non ne so molto di storia dei videogiochi ).

E poi, cosa si prova a sviluppare un videogame della saga di guerre stellari! Per me è un mito, penso che lavorare ad un progetto del genere sarebbe uno dei sogni della mia vita! Cosa si prova a "costruire" l'universo di Guerre Stellari, che magari è stato uno dei vostri sogni da bambini? (poi magari non ve ne frega niente, a me fregherebbe eccome... )

For most of us at Petroglyph, we came originally from Westwood Studios. When EA purchased and eventually shut down Westwood, we decided to stay in Las Vegas. I personally worked on Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, before moving onto Pirates: The legend of Black Kat for the PS2 and XBox.

I have loved Star Wars since I was a kid in the theater watching Episode IV. I always wanted to work on a Star Wars project, and the idea that things I created are actually part of the lore is a pretty wonderful feeling

Per la maggior parte di noi alla Petroglyph, veniamo dalla Westwood Studios. Quando EA ha comprato e chiuso la Westwoo, abbiamo deciso di rimanere a Las Vegas. Io personalmente ho lavorato a Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun e Firestorm prima di passare a Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat per PS2 e Xbox.

Ho amato Guerre Stellari da quando ero un ragazzino al cinema che guardava Episodio IV (il primo della serie ndCT). Ho sempre desiderato lavorare ad un progetto di SW, e l'idea che le cose che faccio entrano a far parte di quell'universo è una sensazione magnifica

The future holds many paths. Hmm... right now we are working on our Sega project. Having come off of FOC and onto that project I am seriously amazed at the awesome design ideas they have for the units and gameplay. I am super excited to be a part of it! You guys are going to flip out when you get your hands on this game. It's going to be stellar!

Essendomi appena staccato da FOC e unito da poco al progetto nuovo, sono rimasto seriamente colpito dalle idee che sono saltate fuori per le unità e il gameplay. Relief!! Well... I always get a feeling of satisfaction for sure. It's a rough task getting all those elements of a game all running smoothly together for a gold master disc. Hard work and sacrifice from personal life is worth it when you get an excellent game out the door and into the hands of true fans like you guys!

Sollievo! Beh, provo sempre una grande soddisfazione, questo è certo. E' dura far andare tutto bene, combinare tutti gli elementi di un gioco in modo da realizzare un prodotto finito. Ci vuole duro lavoro e sacrificio della propria vita personale, ma quando ottieni un gioco eccellente che dai tuoi studi arriva nelle mani di veri appassionati come voi, allora ne vale la pena!
