Certo che qui la falsità dilaga come il veleno durante la derattizzazione

Permettete una digressione dal "naturale continuum del topic"?
Non inserirò testi ma vorrei portare la mia esperienza: il mio mestiere è scrivere musica, a volte anche qualche testo "a corredo"...Premetto che NON sono un poeta ma un musicista, cmq di "poesie musicate" ce ne sono parecchie e ho apprezzato praticamente tutti i testi che ho letto qui. Il difficile è ottenere il connubio tra testo e musica (o viceversa), a volte la metrica è bast...a e non ti fa scegliere quella parola invece di un'altra di minore impatto... Versi liberi? Si, ma poi vanno inseriti nel contesto della musica e poi la scelta: musica che commenta le parole o parole come "suono" e quindi musicali? Chi riesce a trovare il giusto equilibrio è un grande. Ma solitamente si fa o l'uno o l'altro e vorrei citare, ad esempio, Bob Dylan: il "ragazzo" è sicuramente un poeta e non un musicista: basta guardare la struttura dei suoi brani per capire che la sua forza sta nelle parole.
Non farò elenchi, non sono un database e non mi interessa esserlo, cmq ribadisco che non è affatto facile trovare (intendo comporre) un testo che ci "azzecca" con la musica.
Il processo è comunque sempre istintivo: al musicista interessa il messaggio che vuole lanciare, a volte riesce con la musica a volte con il testo. Quando hai il messaggio perfetto (parole e musica) allora sei completo...
Mi piacerebbe approfondire ma diventerebbe un discorso un po' troppo tecnico, per "addetti ai lavori" e quindi mi fermo qui ma nel caso ci sia qualcuno che vuole saperne di più sarei lieto di continuare (nei limiti delle mie possibilità, ovviamente... )

Io personalmente ho un'opinione tutta mia sui testi delle canzoni...e va col tempo...anzi con il tempo sociale.
Mi spiego.
Oggi come oggi, ci stiamo avvicinando sempre più al medioevo musicale...dopo i fasti ellenici(60/7 della musica ragionata, studiata, sperimentata, idealizzata e pure teorizzata si è caduti in una voragine buia e orribile entrando negli anni 80.
Qualcuno accese una torcia (queen, police, U2...e per che no anche i dire strait's)ma pochi se ne accorsero.Per quanto riguarda i testi, si è partiti dal vuoto più assoluto dei contenuti proprio negli 80 con gruppi come "duran duran", il "gruppo di sid vicious"(di cui un lapsus mi nega il nome) ecc..ecc..testi vuoti, senza significati seri, senza allegorie intelligenti, sentimenti che vadano al di la del "hei tu baby ieri sera ci siamo divertiti" non si sono + visti. Infatti è nota la peculiare situazione sociale degli anni 80, il boom economico, gli Yuppies, il decadimento dei valori morali, la Droga e L'AIDS ecc. ecc. Ad un certo punto(93/94), eccola, la luce...Tom Morello e Zack de la Rocha trovano l'incontro "NUOVO" tra musica e parole; testi mozzafiato e giri da far girare la testa fusi in un unica canzone come avveniva allora in Stairway To Heaven, Child in Time e Wish U Were Here solo per citarene alcune....intanto, la musica violenta comincia a dilagare si passa gradualmente ad un livello di violenza incontrollata, insensata e astrusa sia nella musica che nei testi...una cosa sconvolgete! Se non l'avete capito sto parlando del metal nelle sue svariate forme(tralsciando qualche caso eccezzionale come i "VECCHI" Metallica) e allo stesso tempo il rock resisteva ma generalmente svuotato e monotono(esistono solide eccezioni come i sound Garden).
...la luce si spegne e nulla rimane...anzi rimane il fatto che un nuovo genere (nato purtroppo dalle ceneri della "Luce") si stia avviando sempre più velocemente a rinforzare le fila del solito metal portando il nome di NEW METAL....basi metal con testi rap. Ora la pianto di scrivere ma avrei da dire mille cose e spiegarvi anche meglio cio' che ho scritto perchè so già che attirerà insulti urla e coltellate, ma qui in garage fa un po' freddino e le mie ditina faticano a scrivere...sorry;-)

AVVERTO chiunque stia per rispondermi a male parole, che questa è un'opinione, un'analisi scritta male di ciò che è stato e che è secondo gli occhi MIEI.
Sarò felice di discuterne ma...avete capito.

Cmq non santifico i 60/70...ma il picco c'è.
Chiarisco qui che certi testi del vecchio metal(vedi Blck sabbath with Ozzie, una per tutte Iron Man)sono secondo me centrati e "spessi".
Il problema è che oggi, è subentrato un non so chè di stupido...molti testi a prima scorsa possono sembrare intelligenti...quando di musica ne ascolti tanta, quando di mondo te ne interessi tanto, quando leggi tanto al di fuori di Stephe King e J.R.R Tolkien, ti accorgi che sono tutti incentrati su standard, lasciatemelo dire, da casa discografica( e ho un'amico prodotto da una casa di milano...lui fa HCM tipo No Use For A Name e i suoi testi li conosco...i signori produttori si sono presi il disturbo di consigliargliene un paio "migliori").
Va di moda il gore, va di moda D&D?
Sbattici due budella e qualche cavaliere che vendimo come pochi!
Vorrei portare poi alla vostra attenzione una canzoncina...
Emerald Sword dei Rhapsody...E' un'ottima canzone, bella, intensa, dal testo poetico nonchè epico; arrangiata da dio e molto ben curata...Dopo 3 volte che l'ascolti...finisce li.

i testi dei RATM esprimono un'opinione e lo fanno senza mezzi termini, senza soppesare minimamente l'altro punto di vista, badando solo a creare slogan per quella lotta in cui credono.

per i miei canoni, è abbastanza per non considerarli certo un gruppo "must", nè dai testi particolarmente poetici.
leggiti l'aforisma 31 della Gaia Scienza di Nietzsche per avere le idee più chiare sul mio conto.

Includere messaggi politici (o faziosi) in testi musicali o in poesie è per me uno svilimento del verso e non solletica più di tanto la mia attenzione.

Ovviamente riconosco le opinioni diverse dalle mie ma permettetemi di augurarmi che l'angolo del poeta non si trasformi in una dependance del Backstage...

Io penso invece che tutto abbia ragion d'essere...
Posso darti ragione sul fatto che stiamo discutendo di POESIA e musica, e che mettere i testi dei RATM è quantomeno azzardato(anche se non penso sia COSI' azzardato).
Attenzione però a definirli faziosi, di parte ed ermetici...
Sono tutti leggibili a svariati livelli; il primo è sicuramente quello della massa dell'ultimo woodstock che ha messo a ferro e fuoco la città...i più profondi prova a cercarli tu...
Per quanto riguarda i concetti ermetici non ho postato a caso "bullet in the head"...leggila un'attimo per favore
