Ubisoft: I Am Alive, Beyond Good & Evil 2 not canceled

Worried that you'll never see Beyond Good & Evil 2? Slightly concerned that you'll never see I Am Alive? Fear not, my friends, for Ubisoft has confirmed that these games are safe.
Hackles were raised when Ubisoft announced that a number of titles had been terminated, and many assumed that the aforementioned games -- both of which have gone dark -- were among the dead. However, the publisher stated that all canceled games were unannounced, and confirmed that I Am Alive and Beyond Good & Evil 2 are still in development.
So that's some great news. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development! Oh, and that other thing's being made too, I guess.

Sorry to waste your time making you read past the headline, but we don't know anything about this new Contra game. In fact, our 'source' is a blazing "C" shown in video form at Konami's pre-E3 event. The good ol' Contra "C." I found myself typing the Konami code into the air when I first saw it.
"They're Coming"
That's what it says right under the C logo. What the hell does that mean?
I hope this game is just a fancy new chapter in the franchise. No funny business, please. No first-person nonsense. No IRL Wii guns or cover systems.
