Domani parto per Skellige e m'è presa l'ansia, quindi ho guglato... e credo di aver fatto bene!

Io mai usata l'overlay di afterburner, però mi faceva comunque crashare il gioco[BUG - CRASH] Crashes during loading when using Fast Travel, somewhat deep breakdown
As many people are well aware of and have had issues with this I thought I would try to confirm some of the conjecture surrounding the bug causing people to crash to desktop during a loading screen when transitioning between any two zones that isn't Velen to Novigrad, or Novigrad to Velen.
1. The bug seems related to the quest "Contract:The Mystery of the Byways Murders"
2. That quest is only a component, as, for science, I started a new game and blitzed through White Orchard and Vizima, got to Velen, rushed straight to the Byways and triggered the quest in my log without doing anything else, I haven't even gone to the Inn at the Crossroads yet. Fast Travel was unaffected. I attempted this BEFORE completing the quest on a "broken" save, which is important for the P.S. statement.
3. Given 1 and 2, while the contract stated above seems to cause the problem after some unknown other criteria are met, completing the quest appears to fix it completely.
4. I am unable to ascertain whether or not acquiring the quest the alternate contract board way circumvents the problem entirely because I have no idea how to intentionally reproduce the problem from a clean slate, however for any interested parties it happens to be "officially" started in Oreton, which is north of Fyke island. However, like point #2, doing this to get the quest on a fresh game doesn't seem to cause my Fast Travel to crash, and since you can't get the quest from the board nor talk to the Nilfgaardian contact once you trigger it by going to the Byways I was unable to confirm if getting it this way stops the problem from occurring. Interestingly enough, you can still grab the contract from the board up until you kill the ghouls and find the villagers and investigate the bodies, even though you still can't talk to the Nilfgaardian guy.
That said, the best advice I can give to anyone to avoid this problem is to not visit the Byways. Failing that, completing the quest seems to totally fix the problem, and lastly as an insurance policy one can hurry along to Oreton and get the quest from the notice board and talk to the Nilfgaardian contact to prep the quest prior to going to the Byways, which may or may not just avoid the whole bloody affair.
Hope this helps anyone avoid this mess or fix it if they have an issue before CDPR fixes it, or helps CDPR fix it in the first place!
P.S. this is the weirdest part. Completing that quest once seems to have fixed it retroactively. Saves I tested to "break" on fast travel 100% of the time not an hour prior to completing that quest now suddenly function. Going to Skellige for the first time suddenly works as does fast travel back to Velen/Novigrad. All of my old broken Skellige saves now work and I can fast travel back. The kicker? Loading a save in which the quest hasn't been completed also works suddenly, when previously it had a 100% fail rate on fast travel between Vizima and Velen. Consider me bewildered. It's like killing the boss of the contract somehow uncursed my ram.
