Aug 08, 2008 11:03 AM EST
Kobe Bryant was asked on Friday if he would consider a super-lucrative deal from a team in Italy when he becomes a free agent next summer.
“I’d go. I’d probably go,” said Bryant, during a USA Basketball press conference on Friday morning. “Like Milan or something like that, where I grew up or something like that… Peace out.”
No dai non ci credo, Bryant che finisce la carriera in Italia ... che tristezza.
Fosse solo quello, ma poi ai Lakers chi tira la carretta
Marbury Eyes Milan
Aug 15, 2008 5:10 AM EST
In the past Stephon Marbury has spoken about signing in Europe once he becomes a free agent, which at the time most considered a far fetched notion. But this offseason, where a handful of players have turned down NBA contracts for more money in Europe, has made the possibility seem a little more realistic.
According to the New York Post, Marbury's plans certainly have not wavered, with the current Knick pin pointing Milan as his preferred destination of choice.
"People just didn't understand and didn't know (last summer)," said Marbury. "When I made comments about playing overseas people took it out of perspective, thought I was talking about leaving while still playing for the Knicks. It was turned into something negative about going to Italy. Now it seems it's OK."
"Why wouldn't you want to play basketball, still make money and live in a place that's beautiful," Marbury added. "Milan is definitely where I want to play basketball at. That's where I fell in love with Italy."

Pargo Signs Deal With Dynamo
Aug 15, 2008 10:28 PM EST
Jannero Pargo has become the latest player to choose Europe over the NBA, signing a one-year deal with Moscow Dynamo worth $3.8 million, according to Yahoo! Sports.
He joins former Nets forward Bostjan Nachbar on the team, who will be coached by an American this season.
The guaranteed money in Russia trumped serious bids made by the Spurs and Hawks.
Pargo averaged more than 10 points a game in the postseason for the Hornets this spring.

Aug 19, 2008 6:00 PM EST
Gordan Giricek has become the latest player to leave the NBA for a bigger payday.
Giricek finished last season as a member of the Phoenix Suns. On Tuesday he signed a two-year contract -- with an option to return to the NBA next summer -- with Turkey's premier club Fenerbache.
"We looked around the NBA," his agent Marc Fleisher said. "Everybody was moving very slowly. And there were great opportunities for him to play overseas for a lot of money. Fenerbache are Turkish champions and a EuroLeague team. It was a tough decision, and it came down to Fenerbache and Triumph, in Russia."

Gordon In Talks With CSKA Moscow?
Sep 03, 2008 5:36 AM EST
Still not close to an agreement with the Chicago Bulls, Ben Gordon is reportedly in discussions with Euroleague team CSKA Moscow about a one year contract, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald is reporting.
The Bulls are believed to be offering Gordon a six-year deal worth around $59 million while Gordon wants $12 million per year.
Gordon has stated in the past that signing the qualifying offer with the Bulls, worth $6.4 million, is not an option. One site reported CSKA's offer at $5.5 million.
