Credo che ci siano circa 40 nuove unità, sia per la nuova fazione che per l'Alleanza ribelle e l'Impero. Le nuove unità imperiali includono anche Dark Trooper e qualche nuova versione di Tie Fighether e saranno proprio come ti aspettavi. Molte delle nuove unità Ribelli saranno sia eroi presi dall'expanded universe che dai film (ad esempio Yoda e Luke Skywalker).
La fazione Zann Consortium avrà delle unità del tutto nuove nell'universo di Star Wars, con un loro aspetto unico, furtivo e minaccioso .
Ogni fazione avrà un feeling diverso dall'altra, anche come modo di giocare.

All of the corruption types that you can use on planets will earn various amounts of credits but some work better than others. For example, if you corrupt a planet with Piracy, you get credits every time the enemy moves a fleet through that planet's orbit. Tutti i tipi di corruzioni che usi sui pianeti ti faranno guadagnare varie somme di denaro, ma alcune funzionano meglio di altro. But each one of those has a different weapon, so how they deal damage is different, as is what they are good against. La fanteria di solito ha lo stesso valore di "hit points", quindi dovranno subire sempre gli stessi danni per essere sconfitti.
