Source SDK Update Released
June 2, 2005, 4:00 pm · Alfred Reynolds
A Source SDK update is available and will be applied automatically when Steam is restarted. The changes include:
New Features to the Source SDK
Included source code for alternative player physics - improves player interaction with physics objects in multiplayer. Look for code that references the sv_turbophysics ConVar
Added hl2mp model animation sources under sourcesdk_content\hl2mp\modelsrc\player\ player_male_anims.qc and player_female_anims.qc
Added a sample skeleton for use with MotionMapper under sourcesdk_content\generic\modelsrc\heavy _walk.smd. This can be used with various HL2MP animations (like hl2mp\modelsrc\combine_soldier_xsi\reloa d_standing.smd). It is meant for use as the second parameter on the MotionMapper command line
Added MotionMapper template files (referenced by documentation) under SourceSDK\Bin\MotionMapperTemplates
Fixed compiling shaders with spaces in the MOD path.
Added files for the VertexLitGeneric shader under the src\sdkshaders\advanced directory (when you install the source code)
These issues have been resolved
Updated MotionMapper and its code to the latest version
Fixed qc_eyes outputting a wrong filename in the QC text

Re: Steam News Official Topic (01/06/2005 - Update HL2DM)

HL1 Engine Update
Updates to the HL1 Engine have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
HL1 Engine
* Fixed several exploits triggered by malicious server operators (found by Stan Bubrouski)
* As part of the next version of VAC, which is currently in testing, the Linux game server now must have GLIBC 2.3.2 or above installed
HL1 Engine Master Server Query Protocol
These changes bring the HL1 engine's querying protocol in line with that of the Source engine. If you connect to Steam enabled game servers using a third party tool, you may need to contact the vendor for an update.
* Added a challenge number to A2S_PLAYER and A2S_RULES server queries.
Setting "sv_enableoldqueries" to 1 (currently the default) allows old style (no challenge/response) queries to work
* Changed A2S_INFO server query to require the string "Source Engine Query" appended to the end of the query packet
* Removed support for "info", "infostring", "details", "players" and "rules" queries, use A2S_INFO, A2S_PLAYERS and A2S_RULES instead

For the last couple of months a team at Valve has been working away on Day of Defeat: Source. We'd like to give people some insight into what we've been doing during this time.
The initial plan following the launch of Half-Life 2 was to get a near direct port of the existing Day of Defeat up and running and release it to the community. After this release, the plan was to take the approach of iterating on the art and gameplay of Day of Defeat through the end of the year. We finished this porting work a few months ago, released this version to a small group of beta testers, and then took stock of where we were. We didn't feel like the game was good enough from a visual perspective to release.
We decided to rework all of the content of Day of Defeat: Source before the full public release, hoping that people would be happier waiting for the product to ship while we gave DoD the attention it deserved. We hope our assumptions turn out to be accurate.
Here is the first screenshot from dod_flash, which is the first map that has been given this complete art pass. We'll have more things to share over the next few weeks.

in pratica si erano resi conto pure loro che la prima beta faceva cacare http://forumtgmonline.futuregamer.it..._icons/asd.gif
