io l'ho finito senza nessun problema, bug o crash e ho 7 ultimate 64bit
ho scoperto che il gioco da problemi con la versione a 32bit di windows 7. l'ho letto su un'altro forum.
per esempio, se si settano tutti i dettagli al max, il gioco può crashare.
a quanto ne so, non da nessun problema con la versione a 64bit del medesimo SO.

Per il settaggio grafico anche a me si freeza costringendomi a riavviare il Pc; ho Seven Ultimate 64Bit ma solo se setto qualità sole su "massimo"... fino a "molto elevato" non ho problemi...
Vediamo se microsoft stessa o GSC rilascia qualche fixetto...
Per l'altro problema della protezione Securom stiamo vedendo sul< forum ufficiale GSC se c'è qualche guida o se esce un fix o qualcosa del genere... arrangia per ora; mi pare che comunque riesci a giocarci ;)
Forse ci sono novità... nella discussione postata poco fa c'è a pagina 7 un nuovo eseguibile (da securom, file zippato) da scaricare e sostituire (previa copia dell'originale) al posto dell'originale... per adesso sembra funzioni.. poi altra cosa.. attivare fraps (se se ne fa uso) una volta avviato il gioco (e non prima) in quanto può generare conflitti!!!:sisi:

No, non è illegale, cioè tramite un crack NO-DVD, ecco qui al volo, visto che devo allestire il topic dei "Call of Pripyat F.A.Q. - Guide tecniche, Tabelle e Soluzioni Generali! " e poi lo posterò li anche se non è uan soluzione ufficiale... da quel che sono riuscito a leggere nel forum dei GSC sembra che rilasceranno o nella prossima Patch o appositamente ma ufficialmente un NO DVD ufficiale o qualcosa del genere :sisi:

Quando questo problema è saltato fuori per me, ho inviato a SecuRom un file d'analisi. Abbiamo avuto qualche botta e risposta finché alla fine mi hanno inviato un link per un nuovo eseguibile per xrEngine.
Non sono sicuro che sia specifico per il mio problema, ma per tutti coloro che non vogliono usare un Crack No-DVD, ecco il link al file. L'ho provato e funziona correttamente (anche se il mio problema, come menzionato prima, è sparito quando ho installato il gioco in un'altra directory ed ho reinstallato SecuRom). FRAPS tuttavia *ancora* non può girare assieme al gioco, sia se uso l'eseguibile craccato che l'originale. Sospetto che sia un problema di Stalker e non di SecuRom, se non altro riguardo al problema con FRAPS.

1. Apri la cartella 'E:/Program Files (x86)/bitComposer Games/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat/bin/' .
2. Rinomina il file 'xrengine.exe' a 'xrengine.exe.OLD'.

Per me nulla, continua a leggermi il dvd ogni 3 volte su 15 tentativi...

Oppure togli momentaneamente la 'gamedata' delle modifiche e prova lo stesso salvataggio e vedi se ti ricrashia...

EDIT: pero' dice memoria insufficente per eseguire il comando, che significa ? ho 4 gb di ram e 95 gb liberi sull'hdd :|
prova ad aumentare la memoria virtuale
ci ho gia pensato, l'ho portata a 8152 mb ma niente
EDIT: aggiungo che non melo fa solo quando premo ESC alla segheria, ma melo ha fatto anche quando ho chiesto a un tipo nella skadovsk di accompagnarmi alla anomalia foresta d'acciaio, appena stava per salvare "in movimento all'interno dell'area" BOM desktop :cattivo:
a me con win 7 64 parte solo in finestra, il fullscreen mi da uno schermo nero e obbligo di reset a mano.
al primo avvio dopo l'installazione parte in una minifinestra ma con il fullscreen selezionato. togliendolo parte. rimettendolo schermo nero.
ho un i7 920+ 4870, i catalyst 9.12 e ati tray tools.
provato a: reinstallare, modificare a mano attivando il fullscreen i file ltx in documenti, disattivare/attivare il refresh e il vsync, lanciare come amministratore, disattivare il tray tools, niente. suggerimenti?
edit: ok sono le dx 10. togliendo l'illuminazione dx 10 (messa di default) si risolve il problema. come faccio a usarla in fullscreen? la 4870 dovrebbe supportarle. dxdiag mi dice che ho le 11 installate.

hai provato a farlo partire da amministratore?
