Indy IV to begin shooting around autumn 2006?
Frank Marshall, producer of all 3 previous Indiana Jones and many more successful films, gave IESB.net an update on The Bourne Ultimatum, Jurassic Park 4 and Indiana Jones IV.
Marshall mentioned that The Bourne Ultimatum, the third film of the Bourne Identity series, will begin shooting on August 1st. He added that it has nothing to do with the book, only the title is the same.
Frank Marshall also revealed that Indiana Jones IV will happen immediately following The Bourne Ultimatum. He wouldn't confirm or reveal anything but said it is moving forward and everyone is happy with what they have read. Frank Marshall has yet to read the script but said that everyone will be reading it very soon. He would not say if Sean Connery would return or not.
He also mentioned that Jurassic Park 4 will begin after Indy IV.
Looks like we may expect an official Indiana Jones IV production announcement from Lucas, Spielberg, Harrison Ford soon. Something we have been waiting for so many years. A good start for 2006!? Happy New year everybody!

More on Frank Marshall's Indy IV production info
On Sunday afternoon (Jan. 8th), producer Frank Marshall welcomed a group of journalists to talk about his upcoming IMAX documentary Roving Mars. The focus of attention eventually became Frank Marshall's comments on the production state of The Bourne Ultimatum and Indiana Jones IV.
Zap2it.com was also present at Marshall's press meeting. Here follow some highlights from their news report by Daniel Fienberg:
"Way back when Harrison was being honored by the AFI when this all started, we were all standing backstage, we saw all the movies and everything and we were a little nostalgic and mellow and we said, 'You know, that was fun. We ought to do that. Let's try and do this." Marshall recounts. "Well that was a while ago. And I think that what we want is we want it to be as good as the others. These are not stories based on anything, so it's taking a while. But I'll tell you, it's on the front burner and we're gonna decide to do this or not real soon."
"We're gonna have a script real soon and now it's a question of getting our schedules all to where we can do it," is all Marshall can promise. "There's four of us, so it's hard."

Ford gives Lucas and Spielberg Indy IV deadline
Harrison Ford has given Steven Spielberg and George Lucas a two-year time frame to make the fourth Indiana Jones film. IMDb.com mentions today that Ford is confident the next installment of the heroic adventurer's exploits will make it to the big screen eventually, but he's keen to hurry the process along.
Ford says, "It's looking very good to do another one. I haven't felt this positive about it happening in a long time... but if it doesn't happen in the next two years we should all forget it."
IMDb.com's news message mentions that production is set to begin in 2007. Nothing is set for sure so it can still be later this year.

Lucas hopes to see Indy IV finished next year
MTV.com has posted an update on Indiana Jones IV today. Here follows George Lucas' latest comment on the Indy IV script.
"We just keep working on it," shrugged series writer/producer George Lucas. "You know, we just write and write and write and write and write. But we are getting closer, and hopefully this year we will have a start date and we will have a script that we all love and hopefully it will come out next year."
Still nothing really new. But Lucas and Ford both sound a lot more confident about this project. The buzz is getting bigger than ever before and things look like Indy IV could start production within a year.

Già, quasi quanto quell'immagine, che di ufficiale ha sì e no la scritta "indiana jones" visto che il "IV" sembra rubato da star wars a giudicare dal carattere con cui è scritto.

Frank Marshall looks forward to Indiana Jones again
This week, ComingSoon.net also published an interview with producer Frank Marshall about his new IMAX presentation Roving Mars. A project in which Marshall joined forces with director George Butler and lead scientist Steve Squyres to document the 2003 NASA mission to land two unmanned vehicles on the surface of Mars. And Marshall briefly talks about Indiana Jones IV.
CS: You, Spielberg, Lucas, Harrison Ford… you guys have nothing to prove, I would imagine the coffers are bursting at the seams. That said, what is the motivation for revisiting Indiana Jones?
Marshall: Well, beyond wanting to tell a really good story again because it's a wonderful franchise… When we all saw each other at the AFI tribute to Harrison we said "you know, that was pretty fun, we ought to do another one of those." It's really about enjoying working together and having something that we can be proud of and that's why it's taking so long. We want to have a great story, cause there's a lot more downside risk than there is upside risk.
CS: Is it kind of a last hurrah, like reliving the old days kinda thing?
Marshall: Probably! (Laughter) No really, we had a wonderful time making all three movies and we rode off into the sunset which is a pretty definite period on the series, but yeah… let's see if we can come up with another idea cause it was so enjoyable to work together.
CS: Jeff Nathanson's draft is pretty good?
Marshall: Yeah yeah yeah, we're getting there.

Harrison Ford's latest comments on Indy IV
Harrison Ford is traveling through the US to promote his latest film, Firewall, which will be released on February 10th. Ford will be doing a lot of interviews during the coming weeks and you may be certain that most interviewers will ask him about Indiana Jones IV. Here follows a small overview of what Harrison Ford told about Indy IV during the past 3 days.
The 63-year-old actor (Ford) is frank about his age and doesn't hesitate to point out that he's as physically fit as ever.
"I can't tell you anything about Indiana Jones, but I think you've just seen a film in which I perform physically to an extent (that will be) sufficient for Indiana Jones," he told ComingSoon.net.
Ford is referring to a specific scene in his latest thriller, Firewall, in which he and villain Paul Bettany get into a knock-down, nasty brawl where Ford is thrown through glass and tumbles over a balcony, just for starters.
http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/4...ewall016nu.jpg
No word yet on when a final script will be approved for Indiana Jones IV, but Ford is committed to making the movie.
"The audience is there," he said, and, "Everybody involved is anxious to make the film again."
Ain't It Cool News published the first online review of Firewall. The reviewer has seen Firewall at a screening including a Q&A with Harrison Ford afterwards. Here's an except of that article:
Outside of Firewall, he didn't say a whole lot of interest. He said he hopes that Indiana Jones starts soon ("Hopefully this summer" were his exact words) and that he has more projects lined up for the future than he's had in quite a while.

Ford says Indy IV is on the front burner
Harrison Ford was guest at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Tuesday promoting his latest thriller Firewall. At one moment Leno asked Ford if he will do another Indiana Jones. Harrison replied as follows:
Leno: Will you do another Indiana Jones?
(5 seconds silence)
Ford: "yes... it's on the front burner".
And on january 30th, Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX published an interview with Harrison Ford, mostly about Firewall. They also asked Ford about Indy IV to which he answered that he and Spielberg are currently completing the script and feel they really don't want to miss with this movie.
Ford then spoke about his career: he said that he,like many other actors that got famous with genre films, finds very difficult for the public to recognize him in roles where he is not a leading fearless man or such. "they just can't see me as a submarine captain or pretending I cannot fly a plane when they know I can" said Ford. But Harrison Ford is happy than no else but him can be Dr. Jones, which as Ford says, "is not just a mindless macho-man".
Harrison Ford will be guest at the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show on Tuesday February 7th.

Ford Indy IV quote on MTV site
MTV.com posted another quote coming from Harrison Ford about the fourth Indiana Jones film. Here's what they wrote about it:
The world has waited 17 years now for another Indiana Jones movie but, according to Harrison Ford, we'll have to keep waiting until they get the script right. "The deal is that the Internet is full of information," he grinned, implying that much of it is wrong. "We have an ambition to make [Indiana Jones 4], we have a possible time to make it and we have a script that is undergoing some revisions. That's as much as I can say at the moment."

Madsen is Ford's favorite to play Indy's new girl!
Harrison Ford talked about Indy IV yet again this week. And this time it's not something we've heard many times before! Ford told that he'd love to have his Firewall co-star Virginia Madsen in the fourth Indiana Jones film! Here's what IMDb.com wrote:
http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/769/madsen3cg.jpg
Sideways star Virginia Madsen so impressed co-star Harrison Ford in new thriller Firewall, she's now the frontrunner to play his love interest in the fourth Indiana Jones adventure.
Madsen plays Ford's wife in the new movie and admits they both found an unusual chemistry on set - after the ageing action man handpicked her for the role.
And now Madsen is a clear favorite to play the leading lady in Indiana Jones 4. Ford tells movieline.net, "She was an absolute delight - professional, very talented and simply, very sweet. She also took what could have been a fairly one-dimensional damsel in distress role and added so many layers to it - there isn't many who could do that. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat. I'm actually hoping she'll come over for Indiana Jones. We've talked about it."
This news is no official announcement that Virginia Madsen will be in Indy IV but only a mention that she's likely at the top of the list of possible female leads for the fourth Indiana Jones film.
I personally think she would be a very good choice to play Indy's love interest in Indiana Jones IV as Madsen is a fantastic actress. She received an Oscar nomination for her role in Sideways last year.

Article on Ford's new Firewall and upcoming Indy IV
TMZ.com published an article written by David Germain about Harrison Ford's Firewall and future projects, including Indiana Jones IV. Here follows an except from David's article:
Ford hopes that two other pet projects will follow closely: Manhunt, a 19th century drama in which he's cast as the Army detective who tracks down John Wilkes Booth, Abraham Lincoln's assassin, and that elusive fourth chapter in the Indiana Jones saga.
Ford, producer George Lucas and director Steven Spielberg have kicked Indy 4 ideas around for years as several screenwriters had a go at the script.
"We're now closer than we've ever been," Ford said in an interview with The Associated Press in a beach-front hotel room. "I think it'll happen pretty soon."
At an American Film Institute bash for Lucas last year, Ford joked that they had to hurry, or co-star Sean Connery would be too old to play Indy's dad. At 63, does Ford feel too old to play dashing adventurer Indy?
"No, no. Indiana Jones changes just like everybody else," Ford said. "I don't have any issues with that, and I still feel physically adequate to faking it just like I've been doing for 30 years. I'm looking forward to it. It's good fun."
At one time, the three had hoped to shoot the Indiana Jones sequel in 2004 for release last year. Now, Ford said, production could begin this year, with the movie arriving in 2007.
Lucas has laid to rest his sixth and final Star Wars movie, while Spielberg is fresh from his 2005 two-fer, War of the Worlds and Munich.
"Part of it is finding a time when all three of us are available to commit to it," Ford said. "I think we've got that now."
The new Indiana Jones film will stick to old-fashioned, Saturday-matinee fisticuffs, Ford said.
Spielberg and Lucas have kept the story a secret, saying only that Indy 4 would take place after World War II. Can Ford add any details?
"It's set after World War II," Ford wisecracked, with his characteristic stone face.
And will Connery be back as Indiana's professorial pop?
Without a pause, Ford reiterated, "Sometime after World War II."

Harrison Ford's latest Indy IV talk round-up
Harrison Ford is currently busy promoting his latest film Firewall, which will hit the theatres this friday, February 10th. So a lot of interviews with Ford have been published in magazines and on websites recently. Here are some excepts from the interviews in which Ford talks about the fourth Indiana Jones film.
Paul Fischer from Dark Horizons recently talked with Harrison Ford about his latest thriller. Here follows what Ford said on Indy IV:
Fischer: How many times during this junket have you been asked about Indiana Jones 4?
Ford: "30" [laughter].
Fischer: Are we going to see it in Indiana Jones 4?
Ford: "I have that expectation. We have pretty much settled on a story and doing some script work and hopefully it will happen soon."
Fischer: How different is it going to be doing one 17 years later?
Ford: "Well it will be somewhat different because we are...no that is not true it is going to be exactly the same." [laughter]
Thomas Leupp from JoBlo.com also interviewed Harrison Ford recently. Here follows a small part of his interview:
JoBlo: What’s up with the facial hair? Is it for a role you’re doing?
Ford: "Yeah, I’m doing a film called Manhunt which takes place in Civil War time. It’s about the capture of John Wilkes Booth. Facial hair was a standard. Plus, I don’t have to see much of my face."
JoBlo: Your director, Richard Loncraine, said you were in great shape. How do you stay fit?
Ford: "I play tennis as much as possible, four or five times a week if I’m off, probably three times a week when I’m working. But that’s about it. I’ve suffered a very lucky genetic accident."
JoBlo: In regards to that, is there anything you’re doing to get ready for Indiana Jones 4? What can you tell us about that project?
Ford: "I’m just waiting for the script to be ready. Everybody agrees that we’re close. We’re excited about it. I’m looking forward to working with Steven (Spielberg) again. The audience is there for it; I’m looking forward to it."
JoBlo: After Manhunt, do you have any projects after that or are you waiting for Indiana Jones 4?
Ford: "I have about four or five things in development right now which are beginning to bear fruit, so I’m not sure what’s going to be after Manhunt."
And here follows a quote from Ford during an interview published in Time magazine, February 13th edition:
Time: When are you dusting off your fedora for Indiana Jones 4?
Ford: "The fedora is available. We’re closer than we’ve ever been. I’m looking forward to it."

Ford's latest Indy IV talk round-up part 2
Harrison Ford's latest thriller Firewall hits the theatres today! And a few more interviews and articles have been published since our last Ford talk round-up only 2 days ago. So here follow some more excepts from interviews in which Ford mentions Indiana Jones IV:
In an Indy IV article recently published on the site Cinematical you will find the following quote from Harrison Ford, referring to his work in Firewall:
Ford: "I can't tell you anything about Indiana Jones, but I think you've just seen a film in which I perform physically to an extent [that will be] sufficient for Indiana Jones."
Fellow Indyfan Brett Hopkins mentioned to me today that it is a shame they don't focus more on Firewall during interviews with Harrison Ford. And Brett's correct! But it's still fun to read Ford's quotes on Indy IV, even when they don't reveal anything new.
And with Brett's words came a link to an interesting article published on The Mercury News site with as title "Ford gets behind `Firewall,' prepares for `Indy 4'".
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercuryne ws/news/local/states/california/northern _california/13813716.htm
CBS News site has published an article, entitled "Harrison Ford's Big Secret", about Ford's visit to The Early Show this week. The show's co-anchor Harry Smith hit him with a burning question about a very different subject: is there going to be a new Indiana Jones movie?
"I hope so," said Ford. "We're close. We have a script."
Ford said that Steven Spielberg is still working on the script but that, "Hopefully, he'll satisfy himself and we'll get on with it pretty soon."
As to which characters will be back along with Indiana, Ford wasn't talking. But he hinted that Indiana's elderly dad, played by Sean Connery, might still be in the mix.
"I think everybody is still in pretty good shape," he said.
Patrick Hodges was so kind to let me know that Ford made an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show today promoting Firewall. Towards the end of the interview she asked him if there will be another Indiana Jones. Harrison replied simply and very assuring: "We're very close."
But probably the most interesting article of the whole week was published on CNN.com yesterday. In the article "Harrison Ford and the movie machine", Todd Leopold talks about Ford's incredible film career. Here follows an except:
Sometimes he appears -- perhaps understandably -- weary with a question, and his voice trails off. In one case, it sounds eerily like the computer HAL 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
He's also guarded about the new Indiana Jones film, which has been rumored to be in the offing.
"Well, it hasn't been announced yet," he says. "And the script goes through a process: George [Lucas] is the initiator, then it goes to Steven [Spielberg], and then Steven and I work together. ... But we're hoping it will get up and going very soon."
But Ford, even at 63, feels ready for the challenge. "Indiana Jones changes just like everybody else," he told The Associated Press. "I don't have any issues with that, and I still feel physically adequate to faking it just like I've been doing for 30 years. I'm looking forward to it. It's good fun."
And while it's still only a big rumor, The Salem News online mentions that Indy IV will begin shooting this summer.
