Due to the excessive load on the back-end we had to remove the data about all the results that have been crunched in the past two weeks; we are currently working on the solution that will both enable storing the historical data and will not create such a load on our server.

Spero non significhi che hanno perso anche tutti i dati....

Apr 20, 2009 Huge THANK YOU to all the participants
The last month marathon is over. About 5 mln jobs were crunched, with much success. In particular, the last batch was extremely successful and we owe a huge THANK YOU to all who participated. We reached the overall effective throughput equivalent to a dedicated cluster of 6,000 CPUs!!!!!! This is far beyond our previous result. Some of the scientific results of the last run are surprising. We will rerun a part of the experiment to make sure the results are correct, and if they are, these are very good news. We will disclose the details if the results are confirmed. We will also open another thread in our scientific forum to discuss the results of these batches. Stay tuned!.

Era un progetto che piaceva moltissimo anche a me, ma a parte la discontinuità nell'erogare lavoro (avranno le loro buone ragioni, e quindi non mi sogno di sindacare), da molto tempo hanno una serie quasi infinita di problemi hardware. E quindi, come scrissi qualche post sopra, mi sono proprio rotto dei loro down.
Comunque, sono davvero contento che abbiano raggiunto dei risultati importanti, e spero li pubblichino al più presto.
