In data odierna è stata ufficialmente rilasciata la versione localizzata in lingua inglese di DCS Series: Black Shark, simulatore di volo sviluppato da Eagle Dynamics.

Nello specifico si tratta della versione elettronica, completa di manualistica e con una serie di missioni aggiuntive rispetto a quella russa; la versione retail sarà disponibile entro il primo quarto del 2009.

Il file di 2.18GB è scaricabile, previa registrazione, dal sito ufficiale al prezzo di $49.99.

In occasione delle feste natalizie la Eagle Dynamics ha pubblicato, sul forum ufficiale, alcuni work in progress del prossimo modulo in sviluppo: DCS: A-10C Warthog.

Le immagini mostrano alcune prospettive del modello esterno e del cockpit dell'A-10C.

Di fatto, da ora in avanti, l'attenzione degli appassionati sarà focalizzata sul prossimo Add-On che introdurrà il primo velivolo ad ala fissa del brand DCS Series.

Vi informo,che dopo numerosi ripensamenti,dubbi ecc. durati una manciata di istanti () sto provvedendo allo scaricamento del simulatore speriamo che almeno mi parta il menu nel caso,vi farò sapere com'è. Dal momento però che sono un mega nab di simulatori uber complessi e che starò via per una settimana x lavoro,temo che scriverò non prima di un paio di settimane la mia impressione

French version – Release date 2nd April 2009
European English – Release date 7th April 2009
North America – Release date mid April 2009
Spanish version – Release date mid April 2009
Italian version – Release date mid April 2009
Australia/NZ/AsiaPac - Release date late April 2009

In the retail box, there will be two coupons, depending on country:

...The shots were posted by SuperVasya (ED 3D artist) on the Russian forum. They are not technically official, but just a preview of one of the graphical improvements to the engine ED is working on. This is planned for the A-10. All is work in progress and subject to change.

To clarify, these are early work in progress shots and have not been tuned. We sometimes like to give you all an early look at things in development. We hope that including this increased ground detail will give a better sense of altitude when operating at very low levels.

Eagle Dynamics Update – 03 May 2009

There are multiple projects ongoing at Eagle and I thought a brief status report may answer a lot of questions:

1- DCS: Black Shark Patch. The patch is in-work and we still hope to release it in the next month or two. In the process of fixing bugs and adding new features, we’ve had to go back and re-do some of the multiplayer code. This has led to longer than expected development time.

2- DCS: Black Shark Localization. Aside from the Spanish version, all versions have been completed. However, the team is focused on correcting errors introduced when the French version was duplicated. The Spanish version is wrapping up localization and we hope to release it in the next month or two.

3- DCS: A-10C Warthog. Parts of the team are already focused on this project and more will be shifted to it once the Black Shark tasks are completed. Progress is good and we plan to release much more information about this come summer time.

4- Lock On: Flaming Cliffs. This franchise will see further development in 2009 now that Black Shark is wrapping up. Once details are hammered out, we will be able to provide more information.
