Spulciando più approfonditamente ho trovato, tra le mille, questa guida che mi sconfinfera assaje.
E' non-AP Sion (l'autore dice chiaramente che gli AP Sion feedano alla grande), e basa tutto su stun, critical chance e danno fisico.

Maxando per prima enrage, si arriva late game con una discreta quantità di HP (circa 3k) senza item. La cosa negativa è che, proprio a causa dell'enrage, all'inizio si è sempre un po' in debito di health.
Forse come primo item sarebbe meglio prendere il vamp skeptre (che annulla l'effetto dell'enrage, lasciando solo le cose positive) al posto dei brawler's glove che consiglia lui...
Un'altra variante può essere quella di spendere un punto di scudo a livelli bassi, per avere una miglior difesa early game.

Olaf, the Berserker
Undertow - Olaf throws an axe into the ground at a target location, dealing damage to units it passes through and slowing their movement speed. If Olaf picks up the axe, the ability's cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds.
Vicious Strikes - Olaf's attack damage is increased, based on his health, and he gains massive lifesteal and spell vamp.
Reckless Swing - Olaf attacks with such force that it deals true damage to his target and himself.
Ragnarok (ultimate) - Olaf is immune to disables, has increased armor penetration and reduces incoming damage by a flat amount.
Berserker Rage (passive) - For each 1% of health missing, Olaf's attack speed is increased by 1%.

Fixed a bug where Mark of the Assasin would proc even if you miss or are dodged
Fixed a bug where her Twin Passives discipline failed to count Ability Power and Damage gained through buffs, such as improved Ignite, Eye of the Storm, or Mejai's Soulstealer
Fixed a bug where Crescent Slash was spell vamping for too much
Twin Disciplines Spell Vamp ratio increased to 10% per 100 Damage, from 5% per 100 Damage, to compensate for the above bug fix. In total, Akali will vamp more from her single target spells and less from Crescent Slash
Akali can no longer Shadow Dance out of disables

Le rune danno si un aiuto, ma non fanno (sempre) la differenza.
Forse, e dico forse, devi solo trovare un champion adatto al tuo stile di gioco (io, ad esempio, ho trovato in Garen e Ashe i miei champions ideali)
E' un gioco di pazienza e di valutazione più che di abilità manuale, non è un fps

stanchezza (due giorni di fila al lavoro massacrante e ho concluso con due partite, una 0/8/0 e l'altra 1/10/0)
beh, forse hai ragione.
dopo un po' di pratica, stasera ho provato un normal con sion, build dps e crit. 13/10/9 e 3 build abbattute. non esattamente le migliori statistiche del mondo (in late game ho sbragato un po' e mi facevo le torri da solo, gankato puntualmente ), però son soddisfatto
Con pantheon il migliore stats che son riuscito a fare è stato 15-0-11, ma con ashe era più facile farlo bastava tenere una certa distanza
mi capitò anche con akali da quando era stato rilasciato da poco mo non so se l'han nerfata o meno...

Dualismo, io Sion di solito non lo uso un granchè come dps/crit, ma così (AP):
Teleport e Clarity, prima skill Scudo.
Parto con il cristallo del mana e/o vita a seconda di chi ho contro, poi ci faccio il catalyst. Meijai soulstealer e poi stivali, dopodichè catalyst diventa rod of ages, a quel punto sheen, fiendish codex -> nashor's tooth, se poi si riesce (ma spesso il game finisce prima) sheen in lichbane, e qualcosa di danno secco a scelta (o il classico signor frozen mallet). Si potrebbe anche pensare di prendere qualcosa di spell vamp, ma non ho ancora sperimentato.
Ordine delle skill: Scudo, Stun, Scudo, 1 livello di ascia, Poi alternati Stun, Scudo, Ascia (e prendendo le ultimate quando si può).
L'arma principale: spam di Stun quando hai mana (che a partire dai livelli 8-9 non diventa + un problema), scudo per buttarsi dentro esplodere, far danno, stunnarne uno e tornare indietro con la copertura del tuo compare di linea.
Ultimate usare per ricaricarsi di vita o nei teamfight. L'Ascia tenerla sempre accesa ma non da subito che rischia di ciucciarti vita.
Ah, purtroppo le stats non sono grande garanzia di vittoria:
Mi ricordo ancora con una partita che ho PERSO avendo fatto 22-2-24 con Annie (semplicemente ci entravano in base a fare towerdive e non riuscivamo a spingere)

Scusate ma ho notato solo io che in tutte le sacrosante partite, pur essendo in vantaggio di torri distrutte, i minion avversari arrivano sempre in numero maggiore e più "incazzosi" ??

io il rischio che ci vedo è che nel teamfight, una volta che ti sei fatto esplodere, sei in mezzo alla battaglia senza scudo con magari 2 o 3 avversari che possono farti la festa come vogliono.
Come dps invece nel corpo a corpo rulli abbestia. Snoccioli crit da 600 con nonchalanche, e con la ult + item riesci ad avere il 115% di lifesteal. Diventi parecchio difficile da tirare giù, e in linea di massima sono gli avversari a scappare (certo, se sei 3 vs 1 ti fanno la pelle comunque, ma di solito riesci a portarti dietro qualcuno nella tomba )
