[Answering a few questions, yes PES 2011/2012 is maxed out. They made mistake
from what I can tell. That isn't fact, just my opinion. They tried to
incorporate freedom, but it's only apparent in odd situations. They didn't think
far enough ahead. Thats why PES 2012 seems like it's hit a brick
wall.
And yes, I'm working on a new engine with PES 2013. Scrap that, I'm
working frigging hard on a new engine for PES 2013.
The problem in game
development is the core engine, and how it can do a variety of things. I've been
working on the logistics, the alternatives and providing solutions. Feedback is
once answer, but you need to build an engine to be able to incorporate things
effectively.
My job for the past 8 months has been finding good solid
middleware. Not to license, but to mirror. And also to implement in a way that
benefits the series not just for this gen but the years ahead.
It's long
winded, but PES 2013 is a bit of a final stand for the series. I don't expect
we'll nail it first time, but I don't think that should be an excuse. If you get
things right from day one, then issues simply won't occur and won't be accepted.
