Ho finito Tales of Xillia con entrambi i protagonisti e mi ha davvero divertito e sorpreso in positivo per tutte le piccole novità introdotte nella serie... la serie può ancora migliorare (specialmente su alcuni punti che imho rimangono note dolenti in generale), però se migliorano partendo da quello che han fatto con Xillia c'è solo da sperare bene.

Per Xillia Namco da 1 mesetto ha fissato il trademark per l'Europa, quindi potrebbe arrivare...sarei molto interessato a giocarlo!

Intanto mi sto giocando il graces, molto meglio di Vesperia ovviamente, e non mi sta dispiacendo seppur con i suoi difetti, soprattutto il gameplay mi sta divertendo abbastanza. Sono circa a 20 ore, vediamo andando avanti.

Per dire, Xillia è divertentissimo, ha un buon ritmo etc ma ha lo stesso tallone d'achille dei titoli precedenti sulle attuali generazioni di console: grafica "antiquata" e colonna sonora un pelo anonima

Vabbé, svagherò l'attesa con Graces F quando esce a settembre, e Xillia JP appena ho un po di tempo libero da dedicargli, voglio capirci qualcosa della storia e quello richiede tempo.

- PS3, release date is sometime in Winter, actual date will be announced on June 27.

- The main character is Rudger Will Krusnik (Takashi Kondo), the heroine is El Mel Mata (Mariya Ise).

- The game is set a year after ToX, in Elenpios.

- The character designs this time are by Daigo Okamura, a Bandai Namco illustrator and art director on the Tales series.

- Realistic proportions, third person camera, story decisions with branching cutscenes, etc.

- The battle system uses a weapon shift system where Rudgar can change in realtime between twin blades, a hammer, and twin pistols. Very fast paced and action packed.

- Animation by Ufotable once again, with Ayumi Hamasaki contributing to the theme song once more.

Sembra che di Xillia sia rimasto solo il nome ed il mondo, il gameplay è stato rinnovato e modificaot ulteriormente, la grafica è migliorata ulteriormente, direi che ci siamo.

Weekly Famitsu has a few combat details for Tales of Xillia 2 this week. We shared a few bits earlier in the day, but here's the rest based off Sokuho@Hokanko's always detailed summary.

Xillia 2 brings back the Link Artes concept from the first Xillia. Link Artes are special skills that your player character can use when in a link state with another character. In Xillia 2, these are split into "Unique Link Artes" and "Common Link Artes." The former are skills that are available for specific character pairings. The latter are skills that are usable regardless of the character pairing.

Screenshots show Ludger and Leia combining two of their moves for a Unique Link Arte. Main character Ludger can also team up with Alvin, combining their respective Rapid Range and Variable Trigger moves to form Mortal Fire.

As you might have figured out from the above, Alvin and Leia, who return from Xillia, are confirmed by Famitsu as playable party members. They'll have a variety of new skills.

Elle, Xillia 2's new heroine, won't take part in battle. However, you will hear her voice her support. She will also appear in battle cut-ins. It's unclear if her shouts of support have any type of effect on the battle.

Outside of the battle details, Famitsu has detailed character introductions of the latest cast additions, Julius and Nova.

Julius, as detailed via Jump leaks last week, is Ludger's older brother. He's 28 years old, 180 centimeters tall, and serves as an agent in Clanspia corporation. He'll eat anything Ludger cooks for him, although he has a particular affinity for tomatoes. Julius goes missing following some incident on Ludger's first day of work. It's also due to this incident that Ludger develops a huge debt.

Nova was formerly Ludger's classmate (we previously listed her age as 28, but Sokuho does not list her age, so the 28 figure may have been for Julius). She now works at a Clanspia owned bank, and screenshots show her expressing surprise when Ludger first shows up to take a loan from the bank.

già, 50 ore per finire l'avventura, 100 ore per fare tutto quello che offre il gioco, ecco i commenti di Famitsu (recensito per 35/40):

Tales of Xillia 2 scored a 35 out of 40 in Famitsu this week. Here are the magazine’s impressions from the game, in handy bullet form:

• Takes 50 hours to clear. 100 hours with side quests, etc.
• High degree of freedom.
• However it might not be easy to understand without playing the previous title.
• In the first week, Ludger doesn’t have very many spoken lines.
• It felt like earning gold might be difficult, but if you do quests and level up you can earn it.
• The flexibility of battles has increased.
• Personally, I liked that paying back debt was relevant in the scenarios, but some people may not care.
• The previous title is summarized by the digest movies, but I want to play it in advance.
• I was able to drop in without progressing the story, even if the conditions to do so were met.
• There are a lot of random choices.
• The battle style introduction is the most refreshing so far.
• I felt that many of the choices you make are reflected in the story.
• In the early stages, I was concerned it was a bit monotonous, but the scenarios and characters were charming.
• Since the character’s were drawn with so much care, it’s easy to become attached to them.
• I felt that a limit of 5 quests at a time was too small.
• I think it’d be easy for an inexperienced player to pick up, but they might be perplexed in the early stages.
• There is a lot of room to fight in battles.
• The option to make a choice appears everywhere, which raises the degree of empathy for the characters.
• The contents fulfill the expectations of fans.
• Players who haven’t experienced the previous title can enjoy it, but they’d enjoy it even more if they played it.

In related news, Dengeki PlayStation this week also reviewed Tales of Xillia 2. Its four reviewers scored the game a 90, 85, 95, and 90.
