The undead curse continues to spread across the kingdom of Drangleic with Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, available April 7, 2015 across the Americas for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC from BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc.

Developed by renowned Japanese video game development studio FromSoftware, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is a compilation of 2014's critically acclaimed title, Dark Souls II along with its three DLC chapters; Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King along with an array of all-new content. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will take advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and DirectX11 PCs with enhanced graphics in addition to brand new game content including an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will also be available for the PlayStation 3 system, Xbox 360, and DirectX 9PCs. This version will include all three DLC missions (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King) as well as a large-scale update (ver.1.10) which will add new features including an additional NPC to seek out along the treacherous quest through Drangleic as well as expanded story, in-game events, improved balance, and online matchmaking functionality.

Gamers who already own Dark Souls II for any platform will receive the ver.1.10 update free of charge.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will be available in April 7, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system, and PC.

Dark Souls 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year in an enhanced version of the game called Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, Namco Bandai and From Software announced today. The re-release of Dark Souls 2 will come with the game's three downloadable add-ons and new enhancements.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dark Souls 2 feature updated graphics as well as new game content, including "an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements." Those improvements will also be available for the PC release of Scholar of the First Sin, which takes advantage of DirectX 11 for Windows.

Da quel che si legge sembra che su PC le versioni dx9 e dx11 saranno separate e con due server diversi, e che la patch 1.10 includerà tutto tranne l'aggiornamento grafico, per cui immagino si dovrà pagare di nuovo. Wtf?!??

Da quel che sono riuscito a capire le due versioni non saranno compatibili tra loro, né per quanto riguarda i salvataggi né per quanto riguarda i server. Follia.
Su Twitter, alla richiesta di chiarimenti, Bandai Namco ha scritto "We'll have lots more info in the next month regarding PC versions/upgrades/etc. so stay tuned ", speriamo che si rendano conto.

Quindi The witcher 3 il 20 febbraio, bloodborne il 24 marzo e il mese dopo Dark souls 2 sempre per ps4.

Prenderò Bloodborne e dark souls 2 soltanto più avanti, malgrado la scimmia di prenderli entrambi al day one sia elevata. Ma considerando i tre mesi intensi che ci aspettano, finirà quasi sicuramente nel periodo estivo o pure dopo.

Uno è un remastered, con un pubblico che già ha dato e per di più con una grafica abbastanza datata.
L'altro esce due mesi prima (20 febbraio), ed è un titolo full next gen (anzi adeguandoci alla nuova regola, actual gen). Che paura può avere namco?

Nella peggiore delle ipotesi stringe un accordo per un centinaio di migliaia di euro a testa con sony e microsoft e lo mettono come titolo plus/live gold entro i primi mesi del 2016. Quanto può mai avere investito namco in un'operazione di recupero come quella di dark souls 2?

E che paura hai?
Sono due team diversi dentro una stessa società. Una ha fatto Bloodborne e ci ha lavorato tre anni. L'altra ha fatto dark souls 2 a cui han lavorato 2 anni sulla old gen e poi si starà dedicando ad altro e su questo remaster avran messo 10 stagisti.

La concorrenza non vedo come possa esserci dal momento in cui i titoli sono separati anche da un publisher (che ha pure già liquidato le spese di dark souls 2) e che l'altro è completamente sony.

Comunque DS2 con i DLC è tanta roba, se non l'avete ancora giocato non ci sono davvero più scuse ora che l'hanno anche annunciato per PS4/X1.

Hype. Devo solo decidere se comprarlo su PS4 o su PC a seconda di quanta gente vuole giocarci. Reiniziare da capo sinceramente non mi dà fastidio, tanto ormai la mia build la conosco e in ogni caso sono sicuro che dovrò cambiarla perchè probabilmente oltre ad update grafici e contenuti extra sicuramente ribilanceranno di nuovo armi/spell/armature
