When did you decided to create this strange new faction?

The new faction leader has been described as a Jabba The Hut enemy. That's means that Jabba will be in the game? And if it is, what's his function?

I apologize for not being a star wars "expert", but what can you tell me about the new faction, the corrupted ones? I always knew that there are two factions in the SW universe, the bright and the dark sides of the force.
What is the corruption?
How is it different from the dark side?
Well, it seems a marketing strategy,maybe I'm wrong...

We tried out a few ideas for the expansion, but really we wanted to avoid telling the same story over again (retelling Episodes V and VI). We decided to go with a new faction because it would allow us to tell the story from a new point of view. Once we knew where we wanted to go with the story and LucasArts was in agreement, we created Tyber, Urai and Silri, and the rest just kind of flowed together.

Abbiamo sperimentato un po' di idee per l'espansione, ma volevamo evitare a tutti i costi il rischio di narrare sempre la stessa storia (ossia ri-raccontare Episodio V e VI).
Abbiamo deciso di creare una nuova fazione perchè ci avrebbe permesso di raccontare la storia da un altro punto di vista.
Una volta saputo dove saremmo andati a parare con la storia, e avuto l'OK da LucasArts, abbiamo creato Tyber, Urai e Silri, e tutto il resto è venuto da sè.

Jabba does appear in the game. If you've played the demo, you can see that Tyber used to work with Jabba, but betrayed him and stole from him. Jabba worked with the Empire to have Tyber thrown in prison, and Tyber vows revenge. Jabba is the first villain you will face in the story campaign.

Jabba comparirà nel gioco. Se avete giocato il demo, vedre che Tyber lavorava con Jabba, prima di tradirlo e derubarlo. Jabba ha lavorato con l'Impero per gettare Tyber in prigione, e ora Tyber grida vendetta.
Jabba è il primo cattivo che si incontra nella campagna single player.

Non so, mi sa un po' di trovata commerciale, poi magari sbaglio...

Well the light side would be the Rebels; they are the ones that uphold truth and honor and freedom for all, and contain the Jedi.

The Dark side would be the Empire; they favor dicatorships through force, destroying whole worlds to keep their power, and being just plain evil; the Sith work for this side.

The Corrupt side contains the criminals like Tyber Zann, Jabba the Hutt and others who just want one thing - money. They don't care about politics or ideals, they just want to be rich and powerful and will do anything to get it. And as Tyber Zann says, "everyone has a price". They can corrupt people that work for the other sides using things like bribery and intimidation to get them to do what they want.

Il lato della Luce è costituito dai Ribelli che credono nella verità, onore e libertà per tutti e contengono i Jedi.
Il lato Oscuro è l'Impero, ispirato alla forza alla distruzione dei mondi per prendere il potere e compiere il loro piano malefico. I Sith fanno parte di questo schieramento.
I Corrotti sono composti da criminali come Tyber Zann, Jabba the Hutt e altri che vogliono solo una cosa: arricchirsi. Non hanno ideali o credo politici, vogliono solo fare soldi e diventare potenti e faranno di tutto per raggiungere il loro scopo

So if I use the Corrupt I can build an army with a mix of Rebels and Dark side troops?
