A me invece é successo l'esatto contrario. Proprio perché i giochi Paradox sono così validi a livello di diplomazia e così scarsi a livello grafico, preferisco utilizzare due prodotti che si compensino, anche perché credo che l'optimum fra le due cose sia difficilmente realizzabile. Quindi vai di Medieval 2 quando ho voglia di menar fendenti e vai di Crusader Kings quando ho voglia di qualcosa più strategico e con una migliore diplomazia (anche se, imho, Crusader Kings rimane un gioco troppo sbilanciato, meglio la serie di Europa Univesalis)
Qualcuno di voi ha provato il MOD (o meglio l'insieme di MOD) Road to Jerusalem? Ho visto che ne parlavano nelle news di TGM la settimana scorsa. Io lo sto provando da qualche giorno e lo trovo molto carino, qualche skin, non mi convince ma é un ottimo tappabuchi in attesa di Kingdoms.
Diciamo che ho sempre pensato, sin da shogun, che i Total War fossero davvero troppo poveri sotto l'aspetto diplomatico. Lords of The rings 2 (parliamo di 11 anni fa, se non erro) univa delle simpatiche battaglie dal vivo (in stile warcraft2... niente a che vedere con i total war, ovviamente) ad una gestione interessante, anche se non troppo cervellotica, del regno, e ad una diplomazia, molto essenziale, che dà tranquillamente la paga a quella di Rome, e probabilmente di Medieva II.A me invece é successo l'esatto contrario. Ecco, mi sarebbe piaciuto qualche cosa di simile (non pretendo la complessità dei paradox... mi rendo conto che sono 2 mondi diversi).
Ma a giudicare dall'andazzo, credo che non lo avremo mai...
Cmq. crusader kings è secondo me il meno riuscito tra i giochi di punta paradox.
Ho provato Europa Barbarorum: ingiocabile, assolutamente ingiocabile
Ho un athlonXp1800 e 512mb di ram, ma temo che per farlo girare decentemente serva un pc di almeno una o due generazioni successive.
Per installarlo ci ho messo praticamente 1 ora, per avviare il gioco 20 minuti, per disinstallarlo una mezzora abbondante
E scatticchiava davvero troppo anche durante il gioco...
E' un peccato, perchè sembra un lavoro davvero enorme.
Ingrosserà le fila delle cose in lista per essere provate quando avrò un pc decente, anche se per allora, probabilmente, mi prenderò direttamente medieval2

Che fazioni hai giocato fin ora?
Ho fatto campagne brevi con Giuli e Valeri. Una campagna lunga (non portata a termine) con i Germani (che mi attizzano ancora) e due campagne lunghe complete con Corneli e Seleucidi.
Stavo pensando di installare lo skinpack delle legioni romane e riprovare coi Valeri. Dello skinpack di tutte le fazioni che si può prendere da www.rtwitalia.com che mi dite?

L'unico problema è che per funzionare richiede la patch 1.2 che sono circa 600mb di download...:(

Si è stato uno scandalo quella patch...inoltre suggerivano di installarla su una versione 1.0 di medieval2 sennò poteva risultare instabile...bah!

I greci hanno una situazione iniziale interessante... non sarà semplice districarsi tra romani, macedoni, ribelli ed il ponto. Diverse città, ma tutte molto sparse... praticamente sono tutti avamposti di confine.
La cosa strana è che ieri sono riuscito ad aggiungere un'unità (la guardia reale spartana, a cui ho messo la skin di 300 ).
Però se provo a sostituire la skin, non so, dell'oplita corazzato con una di queste di va in crash...
Ho semplicemente sostituito nel file descr_model_battle le stringhe riguardanti le texture ed il modello, così come specificato nelle istruzioni su quel topic... non capisco...
è uscita la patch ufficiale 1.2..
Qualcuno può postare il changelog?
@Invernomuto: mi pare di si. ma non ne son sicuro al 100%, comunque puoi sempre provare
@Von Right: allora il change log dovrebbe essere questo.. è un po' lunghetto anche perchè la patch sono 650MB circa.
è tutto in inglese.. e visto che è lungo non ho molta voglia di tradurlo.. comunque provandolo si notano dei miglioramenti sia in ambito diplomatico che tattico nelle battaglie..

Ci ho messo un pò per trovarla (avendo WinNT non riesco a visualizzare il sito ufficiale del gioco per via della versione del flash....), alla fine sono riuscito a tirare giù un file da circa 643Mb che si chiama "MWTII_UPDATE2_EFIGS_RC_Final_exe", è quella giusta da installare sulla versione italiana del gioco?
