Finally, if you click on a county, you'll find yourself looking at this window. The county window has a ton of information on it and has a lot of utility. I've selected the county of Thomond in this screenshot. In the top left you'll see the coat of arms for the county itself, Thomond, and in the top right you'll see the coat of arms for our duchy of Munster. The duchy displayed in the top right of a county window is the county's de facto duchy. That is, Thomond is a de jure part of the duchy of Munster, but if the duke of Connacht above us were to seize Thomond, it would show the coat of arms for the duchy of Connacht in the top right instead. As a side note, it looks like the CoA for the county of Thomond and the duchy of Connacht are the same, which is slightly confusing. It you look in the top left part of the parchment area however, you'll see the CoAs for the Kingdom of Ireland and duchy of Munster again. This section of the window shows the duchy and kingdom which the county is a de jure part of. So even if Connacht did have control of Thomond, it would still show Ireland and Munster in that area.

Dunque, una county e' la piu' piccola unita' territoriale controllabile nel gioco. Una county puo' far parte di un ducato (duchy) in due modi: puo' esserne parte "de facto" perche' il duca del ducato in questione ha preso il controllo della contea, oppure puo' esserne parte "de jure" cioe' di diritto storico, diciamo. In pratica il duca di Connacht puo' conquistare la contea di Thomond ed annetterla al suo ducato, pero' comunque Thomond rimarra' sempre "di diritto" una contea appartenente al ducato di Munster, quindi un eventuale duca di Munster potra' sempre avanzare diritti su quella contea e dichiarare guerra ad un duca estraneo che dovesse controllarla.
I due stemmi in alto indicano la contea stessa (a sinistra) e il titolo superiore di cui quella contea fa parte (ducato, regno o impero).

Ears up folks, it's time for another Legacy of Rome and patch 1.07 dev diary! This time, I'll reveal what we've done to rebalance combat. All these things are actually in patch 1.07, so you'll get them whether you buy the DLC or not.
To give you some background, we were never entirely happy with the combat system in the game; the outcome was too dependent on numerical advantage and there was little you could do to affect it beside throwing more troops into the fray. Part of the problem was simply the lack of proper random elements. This was fixed in patch 1.06 with more varied, decisive and longer lasting combat tactics. Another issue was that the composition of the Holding levies was largely beyond your control; all you could do was try to focus on Cavalry buildings in your own Holdings if you wanted to try having more Cavalry on the flanks in battle. We have addressed this in part with more specific unit type buildings and cultural versions of buildings. The major fix though, is the Retinue system in Legacy of Rome. Lastly, we realized that the most important tactical consideration for players, and something they can influence, is the choice of commander and the effect he has on the battle. In patch 1.06, we added a new type of trait called "Leadership Traits", and now we're adding even more of them:

The choice of flank leader for the right role is now an important tactical choice with a real effect on the outcome of the battle.
We've also tweaked the combat tactics and unit types a bit more, and made sure that pure archer flanks are not imbalanced, knights are slightly less overpowered, etc. Oh, and all cultures now have a cultural building, but some cultures have the same as others.
Lastly, though not exactly related, I should probably mention that the military AI has been improved a lot, to focus on what's important and avoid attrition.

The 'De Jure Kingdoms' map mode works the same way. This map mode shows the de jure borders of all kingdom titles, whether or not they exist. Its important to keep de jure borders in mind when assigning land to yourself or your vassals. Lower ranked vassals dislike being ruled by a liege who is not their de jure lord, and characters also dislike it when de jure parts of their titles are owned by other people. For example, if an Irish count were to swear fealty to the ruler of Scotland, he would have perpetually lessened relations with the Scottish king due to being outside of the kingdom of Scotland's de jure borders.

negativo perchè sta cosa del diritto di regno limita un po' troppo le mire di conquista per via bellicosa e/o diplomatica di un nobile... (conquistare tutta l'europa ftw)
positivo perchè tutto sommato un malus di qualche tipo era necessario per evitare troppo power playing
comunque comunico che l'ho ordinato su amazon
bon, preparati a cacciare il grano anche per i DLC
ho visto su steam, quelli interessanti sono solo due o sbaglio? gli altri sono soltanto musiche e skin facciali
e le patch necessitano comunque dei dlc?
no, le patch vanno anche senza DLC
ah beh allora penso che per ora me lo gioco vanilla, anche se ho letto qualcosa su sword of islam che rende i paesi islamici accattivanti... ma anche piuttosto pericolosi
