Quake 2 : Lost Marine
http://www.planetquake.com/meanarena/qua ke2_lostmarine/

Quake 2: Lost Marine is looking for your feedback! Take a few moments to read the story below. They might consider closing down but of course we're not going to let this happen right?
Quote:
---------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------
The plans for Quake II: Lost Marine were set with a schedule in mind to give gamers a chance to get their game on during QuakeCon 2005. I figured why not get this project out there for the people really wanting it during the event as this would be a great opportunity to even sweeter the Quake flavor for everyone. Since id Software will be providing Multiplayer from Quake 4, we wanted to provide some brand new Single Player of Quake 2 in DOOM 3. All in support of keeping the juices and cravings flowing for the community who are eagerly awaiting Quake 4. Due to team member departures (it's always the case) we won't be able to finish what I had planned in time for QuakeCon 2005. The release I wanted to have released for QuakeCon 2005 was to be a test release and not a final build or anything like that, but instead to get feedback from everyone, and make any adjustments according to that feedback as to how we may improve the mod to be more enjoyable for everyone.
So I'm asking the community what you want. Since we will not be able to complete all the monsters we have in the works in time for a fully functional QuakeCon 2005 test release, would you like us to hold off on this release until the monsters are completed (which may be a critical miss) or release a test version that does not contain the actual Quake 2 monster models we've been doing, though using D3 monsters for the time being, the gameplay is still fun and feels like Quake 2? So drop me the feedback, and let me know what you guys want. I personally would like to release something for QuakeCon 2005 attendees to play instead of nothing at all during that weekend, but since I made it a point that this mod wasn't being built for myself, but you guys instead, you get the call on it. Let me know.
This doesn't mean we aren't finishing putting the monsters in for a final build, this is just a test build we're talking about for QuakeCon 2005. Monsters will be in there in the official release for sure, they just take a lot of time to do.
