Madoka Magica 3° Film
Despair... Despair everywhere. Also Love.
What.
WHAT?
o_O
Ehrm, ok. I prossimi episodi saranno probabilmente interessanti![]()
lol, srsly
Spoiler perchè wall of text
Spoiler:>Why is that Ai and foxlady are full youmo and can control themselves but Akky is only half but goes full rampage?
Because the cat was an anime only addition and Foxlady was a human in the novels. Youmu were NOT integrated into human society in the book. And the reason Mirai's clan was hated was because their cursed blood was assumed to have Youmu elements. So in the books Youmu racism was universal.
>Oh that actually makes sense.
>Why did Kyoanus change that setting only to unnecessarily complicated things?
Because it seems KyoAni was not willing to go all the way and have a world where Mirai and Akihito have good reason to act like socially rejected X-men Mutants.
This is one reason why people wondered why Mirai was so confusing as a character in the early parts of the series. In the book she is actually a skilled hunter from the start, but she gets hate mail on her blog because of racism. Her hatemail in the anime made no sense as the racism was absent.
In the same way, Akihito as a Half Youmu is a MUCH bigger deal in the books and why his existence is sort of a secret. The addition of friendly Youmu in the anime short-circuits that.
>So KyoAnus completely fucked the story.
KyoAni decided the book was too dark. Who knows if the author is able to stretch the story with all the changes in place.
In general the changes made the world much more peaceful. This might have been done to make the SoL elements more believable. Because it was rather more like racism-everywhere in the original.
>Now I see why all the characters and settings are so fucked up like this.
>It's because those slice of school life elements were forced into a dark fantasy.
The most recent episode with Bananamilk talking about how Youmu is made up of dark evil energies just made the anime changes more bizarre. KyoAni CAN'T explain Ai, she really shouldn't exist.
Other changes:
-Mirai wanted to kill Akihito because he was half youmu, only stopped because she couldn't after repeated attempts
-Ayaka (LN version) is a bounty hunter that tried to kill Akihito when he still had a bounty on his head
-Hiromi tried to kill Akihito but failed after completely exhausting himself after something like a full day fight
-Akihito is only protected because of a deal with Nase family, if he ever leaves the domain of the Nase family every single youmu hunter would try to kill him.
-(Dropped story arc from volume 1) Nase Family seems to have a lot of enemies, there was an assassination attempt on Hiromi + Mitsuki in the first half of volume one. One of the Nase family members might have been killed and reanimated in order to use his barrier abilities to break Hiromi's barrier abilities
-(Altered) Youmu hunters tricked Mirai to come to this area so she'd end up facing the hollow shadow, hoping to drive her to suicide by purposely becoming possessed so they can kill her along with the hollow shadow without breaking the taboo of sacrificing humans to kill youmu.
>Well damn, Kyoani fucked up.
A lot of the humor and slice of life is still in the LN. KyoAn just took those and amped them up while down playing the darker parts.
It also sounds really dark because I just summarized everything, but the LN feels more melancholic than depressing.
LN is told from Akihito's PoV so when he gets to know Mirai better you can feel the change in him as he comes across someone who is as much of an outcast as him. It's something that's completely missing from the anime.
Akkey's mom is actually in the LN. IMO the LN's try to mimick the feel of Monogatari, but the author isn't nearly as good of a writer, so there's a lot of humor that doesn't mesh well with the darker portions of the story.
The calm is actually in the LN's, except it's caused by the Hollow Shadow. It does weaken youmu powers and it makes Akihito completely mortal. It also makes other youmu completely dormant, so youmu hunters actually take vacations during the calm.
Akihito behaves pretty much like he does in the anime, but since it's told from his POV, you get a lot of inner narration that slowly reveals just how shitty his situation is. He's trying his best to live a normal life but in the end he knows it's all hollow. Spending time with Mitsuki in the clubroom is probably the closest he comes to forgetting his shitty situation. Mitsuki does paper work for her family in the LN, and she's not that knowledgeable about youmu at all, hence why she behaves more casually towards Akihito. Hiromi on the other hand seems to be in the inner circle for the Nase family, and he's really just there as an observer to Akihito (at least from Akihito's PoV). In fact, in the rooftop meeting in episode 2, when Hiromi moves behind Akihito for the armpit scene, Akihito at first thought Hiromi was going to attack him.
Ah giusto sono fermo all'ep 2![]()
Magi II 6
Lascia perdere.
Comunque per Kyoukai no Kanata.
